Vehicle Description
Up for auction a 1980 AMC Spirit DL. This cars is set up for ORSCA 7.0 heads up or bracket racing 1/8th - 1/4 mile. This car was build by HR Race Cars in Comer, GA with the following items done by them:
9" rear end with ladder bars coil overs. Spool after market axles 3.90 gear. 8 point mild steel cage with subframe connectors. Minitub. Motor plate with engine setback. Car was setup for SBC with glide/turbo trans.
Car comes with custom drive shaft for this application, 2 fiberglass racing seats (not mounted). On/Off switch. Motor plate has GM alternator with stock pully. Remote mount oil filter. Manual steering box also manual rack pinion included. Weld prostars 15x4 15x10 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. All tires are no good/dry rot. 8 gallon fuel cell. Summit fuel pump. 1/2" braided line with regulator. BM street stick. Painless switch panel. Not sure if windshield is Lexan. Door windows that roll up down. Doors, quarters hatch are glass. All steel with what looks like second attempt at hood scoop. Plexiglass rear wing.
This vehicle has no dash, no headers, no rear brakes, no engine or trans, no radiator, some of the wiring is done. There is surface rust inside outside of vehicle. The hatch has a lot of rust exterior at wing, the bottoms of the doors have rust all of which is treatable and repairable.
This car is small with a short wheel base. Even though it's all steel it is light. Power to weight ratio is a plus with this vehicle. And with the ladder bars/motor setback should be an E-ticket ride at the dragstrip. This is the perfect car for you Dare to be Different types! If you have any questions ask them prior to bidding. Again, this vehicle does not come with engine transmission and is sold rolling with the items described above with bill of sale only as the state of Georgia does not require title for the age of this vehicle. It is being sold AS IS. Transportation is solely the responsibility of the purchaser. A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end. The balance is to be paid prior to vehicle departure. Negative or no feedback must contact before bidding or will be removed. Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of auction end unless other arrangements have been made prior to end of auction. Do not bid if you do not intend to buy, serious bidders only. Vehicle listed locally we reserve the right to end the auction early.
