Vehicle Description Recently a good longtime AMC friend of mine, James Hahn, was shot killed by Houston SWAT. His family has asked that I sell off James' collection of Gremlins, of which he had one or more of every year AMC produced the Gremlins from 1970 thru 1978. These will be dropped here on ebay, NO RESERVE, and some are restorable, others are drag car material, yet others are glorified parts cars. I will attempt to simply describe them as seen. There is a file on the front page of my site at planethoustonamx.com with photos of his collection; and some comments about James who I had known since the 1980s when he was a teen with a infectious laugh and a passion for anything Gremlin related. Please do not email me asking about certain cars, as I will know know about those UNTIL they are delivered here to my place. This is second up for sale; first year with 'new design' fenders back glass. This Gremlin runs, drives stops! Cranks right up, shifts smoothly. VIN is: A7A465E160956 (total production for 77 Gremmies was 46171, and 38613 were the six cylinder; this one was built early November 76, 11th week of production); BODY K026334; MODEL 7746-5; TRIM 705-H; PAINT 6P; LINE NUMBER E027116. Options Accessories: 232-6, Automatic/column shift (904 light duty Torqueflite); Air Conditioning, Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Rally stripe, chrome roof luggage rack, heavy duty cooling w/7 blade flexfan; front rear bumper guards; electric wipers. The vehicle is showing 54,000 miles. I do not know if this is original, however a dated decal inside driver door jamb (see photo) shows 49,000 miles in 1994. Paint/stripe original. While this vehicle needs going thru, I have had better worse. The engine runs smoothly and trans shifts same into all gears. Disc brakes will stop you but need bleeding or freshing up. The lights, horn, AC/heater fan blower, tail lights, brake lights, high beams, all WORK. Dash has cracks in upper piece but crash pad is real nice, along with gauge ovelay and glovebox door. Vehicle also sports neat lower end to end dash package tray! Door panels in good shape, as is trunk pan, hood, fenders and headliner. Gremlin is complete with gas tank, suspension, wiring harness. There is no glass as it was broken out by vandals. You can find most of the glass from fellow AMC fans on the badassgremlin yahoo group or the amc blog; listed under AMC ONLINE on my site, or even here on ebay; the glass interchanges with a few models, like windshield from 1970 thru 1988 Grem/Horn/Spir/Eagle Series. It's restorable, or one could make a art car, dragster perhaps, or use it to restore other Gremlin/Hornet/Concord Series. This vehicle is being sold as is, no title, bill of sale only. Payment: I don't do paypal or credit card but do take checks and money orders. Payment in full is to be made within a week of auction's end. Should you need the vehicle transported, I would highly recommend some of the auto transport companies listed in my VENDORS section of my website including CSI or Houston and Rebel Yell of Dallas to name a few; both of whom are reasonable and have transported dozens of AMCs for me thru the decades. Should you wish to tow it yourself, the largest U-Haul in Houston is in the 10,000 block of Old Katy Road about 3 miles from me, a tow dolly is $39.95 or so a day. My battery does not go with vehicle. Vehicle is to be removed within one month of purchase please as I will have more of these Gremmies coming in. and need the room. And even if you don't bid, ya'll say a prayer for that young man James. If you have any questions about this Gremlin you can call me during the day at 713-464-8825 or email me directly at eddiestakes@planethoustonamx.com
