Hello Ebayers. Here we have a 1967 AMC Ambo Wagon. BODY: Straight and almost rust free; the only problem I see is slight bubbling behind rear wheels (see pics). Slight patina rust on top. Was Ziebarted in past. Grille straight and all trim intact. Windshield has vertical crack on driver's side. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ON WHEEL LIPS. Package rack and trailer hitch. DRIVELINE: Engine is AMC 360. Runs strong and smooth. Valvetrain was noisy when I got it, but quieted down as I drove it. Needs tuneup. Transmission is a Mopar 727, shifts smooth and runs good. TwinGrip rear end. Exhaust has cherry bombs, but is all there. SUPENSION: Front end is good and car runs down road straight. No slop I can feel. Tires have 1500-2000 miles on them. Brakes are typical AMC touchy power. Power steering, converted alternator to Delco 1-wire self energizing. INTERIOR: Seats are comfortable and have no rips. Needs carpet, someone cut house carpeting and put in. Speedometer does not work because whoever did the transmission swap left the cable on the exhaust pipe. Courtesy Lights and fuel gauge are intermittent, bad ground? Have not had time to track it down. Had A/C but compressor missing, everything else seems to be there. Headliner (fiber type) good, two small tears, one in very back, and one by driver (see pics). Paperwork in car shows it lived in Colorado, dealer badge shows sold in Iowa. Fun car to drive, took dog/nephews to car shows in it and drove it to work on nice days past 2 summers. Sold as is, where is. Please e-mail with your questions, I would be happy to answer all queries. Bought it with the idea of resto, but can't drive 'em all.
