Listed is my 1979 Alfa Romero spider. I bought this car a year ago with hopes of restoring it, and well, it hasn't happened. The car starts hard because it does not have a choke hooked up. If you shoot it with starting fluid, it will start right up. Once warmed up, it starts easily. The engine runs strong without any issues. The clutch and the transmission work as they should. The brakes are fine. The speedometer and odometer do not work. A new cable goes along with the car, but not installed. I drove this car last saturday afternoon and it drives just fine. I would not be afraid to drive this car home after auctions end.
The car does need body work. Look at the pictures. It has rust on the lower part of the body panels. The seats need to be recovered or replaced.
I have a large folder of receipts that the previous owner had with work done on the car. I have not done any work on the car. Last summer I drove it around, but never got started on the restoration. The receipt folder includes but is not limited to the following: Transmission rebuild($2374.), starter($255.), convertible top($300.), ignition parts($27.), Clutch master cylinder($96.), speedometer cable($20.), hoses($107.), water pump($177.),
The paperwork indicates that the car spent most of its life in South Carolina. The car is now in Dayton, OH. 45414.
Please come and inspect and drive the car before you bid.
I am an Ohio car dealer and as such must collect sales tax as it applies to you. If you have any question, please email me.
This car is being sold "as is". Yep you guessed it, that means no warranty.
I am selling this without any reserve bid, so the top bid gets the car and what ever the selling price. An honest auction. No games.
Good luck bidding.
