This car has been built for performance. It is far from stock.
I am listing this Nice Alfa Romeo Spyder Veolce for one of my best freinds who is not much of an Ebayer but great with cars. He is the 2nd owner of the car and took a couple of years building it up as listed below. It has been garage kept and rarely brought out in the rain. He is selling it after putting only 11,000 miles over the past few years. Time to move on to a new toy, (you know how we guys can be). Over $9000.00 has been invested in this weekend toy. The reserve is set much lower than that.This is your chance to get a sweet ride for a reasonable price.
Listed below is a summary of the work that has been done. The engine was rebuilt and the fuel injection system has been converted to dual Weber carburetors with dual fuel pumps and regulators. High performance electronic iginition, New electronic cooling system, High compression (10.4:1) pistons, performance cam, high performance headers and exhaust, and of course main bearings and seals and all new hoses and cables.
To transfer this extra power to the wheels a new clutch and throwout bearing was installed along with new U-Joints and driveshaft support brackets and bearings. It shifts smoothly and strongly, exactly the way it should.
To help keep this little jewel pointed exactly the direction you want, the suspension has been beefed up with High Performance Springs, Koni adjustabale shocks, OEM stye 15 x 7 German manufactured wheels (as opposed to the 5 1/2 wide stock wheels, which will also be included with this auction) Mounted on the extra wide wheels are a new set of Bridgestone RE93 205/50/15 tires. New adjustable upper arms, inner and outer tie rod sets new wheel bearings etc...
To help stop this little speed demon new calipers and metal brake pads, along with new hand brake cables were installed.
The body is clean with no visible rust and a nice shiny paint job. There are a couple of nicks and small dings in the paint since this is not a show car but a driver. The rear bumper is cracked on the very right side where a tow truck driver (who didn't know what he was doing) messed it up. The interior is clean but shows some wear. There are a couple of cracks in the dash that are pretty normal for these cars of this age. There is no radio in the car and the wiring harness to it needs some work. To keep the comfort level good new heater fan assembly and heater valve have been added. The original leather seats have matching color vinyl seat covers over them. It also has new floor mats and mirrors.
Obviously by the list below, you can see the money invested on this Alfa, has been concentrated on performance and not looks. The speedometer is not original and reads @ 45,000 miles however the car has 55,000 original miles on it. It is very clean but don't expect perfection on the body and interior because it has not been restored. Work was just done on the convertable top to eliminate a leak that was just discovered.
