Vehicle Description
This is a beautiful mostly restored 1969 Dark Green Austin Healey Sprite. Recently rebuild engine, clutch, transmission SU carburators (less than 200 miles). Restored using mostly OM and/or Moss Motors new parts such as Lucas, SU, Smiths, CMC, BB, Bramber, Lockheed, Mallory, KN, etc. The body has been recently paint stripped and repainted.
Among many upgrades/new parts: New master cylinder, brakes, brake lines, new disc brake rotors on front new brake drums on back, relined gas tank, new shocks, new exhaust system muffler, oil cooler, new wheel bearings all around, rebuild radiator, new generator, new starter, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, etc.
The Sprite has original chrome bumpers, grill, hub-covers, etc. New roll bar, new Michelin tires, new carpet, newer interior panels, newer seat belts. All gauges, and other electric components are in good working order (lights, wipers horn need some adjusting). The backside of the rims and the inside of the bumpers were painted with por-15. The underside of the car was refinished and weatherized. There is no rust on the car and although the paint job is newer, it shows some blemishes.
The Austin Healey comes with tonneau cover and soft top with frame, all in good condition. Must mention that the top has a tear in left rear window and that the passenger seat has a seam where stitching came loose.
The Sprite is been kept in a heated garage and carburetors may need adjusting since car has been seating since last summer. Please be aware that auto is not up to Concours d'Elegance and it is available for inspection and auction is w/out warranty.
NOTE: I have a wire wheel conversion kit that includes all required parts such as rebuild wire wheels, spinner caps, front wire wheel hubs and rear axle shafts housing. Auction winner can have it for $650.00 on top of winning bid.
Payment Terms:
The successful high bidder will submit a $1,000 non-refundable deposit via Pay-Pal within 24 hours of the close of auction. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 5 days of the close of auction.
Balance Payment Methods: Cash (in person), Certified check, Wire transfer, or via Xoom.com (international money transfer co) is preferred.
Shipping:
Successful bidder is responsible for shipping. I am willing to help with logistics for pick up and/or loading of vehicle.
