Originally this car was English White with red trim but is currently painted light blue. It is an excellent solid, straight California car for restoration that was last on the road in 1981. Fitted with 60-spoke wheels and a four speed overdrive transmission. Comes with all the related parts that totally complete the vehicle except for front seats and the rear backwood. BODY:Excellent, straight nearly rustfree body with excellent shut lines and panel gaps. This car has been painted at least a couple of times and there are small amounts of bondo here and there. The trunk handle area has also been bondoed. Front and rear shrouds are very nice. Front grille fits well. No evidence of any accidents. Some bubbling just starting on door bottoms and lower dogleg areas. Doors, hood and trunk all fit and close well. Some evidence of filler in bottoms of front fenders. Excellent solid original outer rockers. Overall, body is quite nice and clean needing only minor repairs. CHASSIS:Excellent, solid California frame with no accidents.Needs firewall foot box edges re-installed due to past V-8 engine modifications. The original engine mount boxes are fine. Framerails are super straight. Solid original rust free floors (slight pinholes under passenger seat area). Excellent trunk floor. Good inner rockers; no frame sag-everything lines up nicely.MECHANICAL:Engine installed in car is from a 1958 year model (Eng #26D/....). Long block Installed with correct 4-speed O/D transmission. All ancillaries and components are now packed up in boxes. Radiator needs new core. Generator dirveshaft, linkage, etc. is all there and is assumed to need re-building. Brakes need to be re-done and steering box bearings need replacing. Car has all its original suspension, brakes, steering, rear axle, etc. TRIM: All trim to be re-used is there except front seats and rear seat fold down which are readily available new from various suppliers. Top frame is complete with header rail and latches. All bumpers, overriders, etc. need redoing. Windshield glass is cracked in corner. Gauges in dash are damaged but another set is being supplied. Car includes all restorable chrome and aluminum items. OVERALL: this is an excellent 3000 roadster for restoration. It has a very good body and chassis that has enjoyed most of its life in a dry climate, making restoration for this car fairly straightforward. This is a good opprotunity to secure a restorable, desirable 3000 roadster.
