Vehicle Description
This is your basic BMW, runs, and drives, but does need some work. To the right buyer who likes working on cars and can restore this one to its former glory, can end up with a very reliable, VALUABLE vehicle that gets great gas mileage (up to 40mpg). Great GAS SAVER.
Here are the highlights of what it needs...
1. Dashboard rebuild.
2. Carb/vacuum adjustments such that the high idle problem is solved (sometimes its normal, sometimes its high).
3. Electrical system adjustment such that it doesn't draw down the battery. Could simply need an alternator, but not sure about that.
4. PM on suspension. Current system is worn, but not broken.
OK, now the POSITIVES:
As of last fall, has new battery and new driver's side rear tire.
Drove vehicle across the state home last fall, so could be very reliable car. Project just too comprehensive for my abilities or knowledge of foreign makes. Also, needs more than I can afford right now.
