This is a very rare 86 BMW 325IX. It could be the only 86 in Canada. It was imported about 8 years ago and is actually registered as an 87 here.
Serial number WBAAE910902461322 Its a 5 speed 4 door sedan, with 297,746 Kms. No Air but does have power locks but no remote.Original paint that is now showing its age, it has been undercoated and the underside and floors are amazingly clean but both front fenders at the bottom are rusted through the outer skin and also the trunk lid is rusty along with the rear panel. The rockers and bottom of the doors are clean and the engine compartment has so much undercoating its very hard to rust there so the shock towers are also good. There are lots of stone chips on the hood etc that have now turned into little rust blemishes. Its an old car so just trying to describe it honestly.
The interior is original and tired, a few broken plastic window winder handles, carpets worn etc. Has a face off stereo with Cd but just checking it out so presume its not working at the moment.
It does still run great and the clutch, drive line, AWD and gearbox is all good, the brakes are good (has ABS ) but one handbrake cable has snapped I do have a new one.
What does it really need ? A bit of body work, a paint job, a good interior clean and odds and ends, front shocks and top mounts, lower steering shaft joint, front brake flex lines as they are cracked and generally needs a good going over. I have done a lot of work in the past and its held up well.
Replaced the exhaust system, did the brakes a few times, timing belt, water pump etc.
I took the fog light lens out both sides as they were broken but the wiring is there they just need replacing with new ones with bulbs.
Comes with winter and summer tires.
