The lights in the mileage readout are too dim to read so.....this car is being sold as "Exempt" being over ten years old. It actually has approx 138,000 if one looks real carefully.
Here' s an "update". I looked at the mileage and you can see it in the right light. It shows 138K and it works. The car has dual zone AC that is seriously cold. This the hottest time of the year here and I can get in this thing and start it up and get immediate freezing AC. They did a good job with the lowering as the car rides smooth, no "jounce" or bouncing around. Handles fantastic (yes, I decided to drive it for a couple days, rare for me). The stereo is superior as well and has "XM" but I have no idea if it's turned on or not. The MPG indicator reads some wild number's too. 75 MPH at 3500 shows 35 MPG!

Somebody spent some money tricking this thing out. They lowered the suspension, got some "M" wheels, added the "badge engineering" and made a real nice little car. Drives out excellent, starts, stops, shifts and steers 100%.
Excellent AC, Sony CD with remote, tires are pretty good, top good, rear window fogged up, good interior, seats, carpets etc. I had to replace a door lock so it takes 2 keys now, one for the door and one for the ignition. Look at the pictures and call.
I have a 1997 540i V-8 6 speed as well.
