Everything works great on this car and she has been well maintained. In fact, we have service records back to 2004 and the next maintenance interval is not due for another 7,000 miles. Please see the "Condition" section of this auction below for details on the cosmetic, mechanical, and electronic aspects of this BMW. Our BMW just passed VA State Inspection back in February and should pass again for the lucky new owners. This 528i Wagon is loaded with CD Changer, leather, heated seats, heated steering wheel, power glass sunroof, and more! The car needs nothing...except some body repair. Last month someone rear-ended the previous owner of our BMW and pushed the car into another car. The damage is mainly cosmetic and there is NO FRAME DAMAGE. The rear hatch is mis-aligned, but closes fine. The accident was reported to insurance so it will eventually show up on the CARFAX report, but the car WAS NOT TOTALED. The previous owners traded this BMW in on a newer model and now we are offering it to you for a $1.00 starting bid with NO RESERVE! Our 1999 BMW 528i Wagon is a nice car that runs and drives great, but has recently been in a little rear end collision. The car was just traded-in on a newer model. The collision did not total the car, but repairs will run about $2500 to fix the trunk lid, rear bumper, hood, and front bumper. There is NO FRAME DAMAGE at all. Someone rear ended this car, which pushed it into the car in front. The damage is all to exterior body panels. The accident was reported to insurance and will eventually probably show up on the CARFAX report. The accident does not affect the driveability of the car at all and the rear hatch and hood closes fine. We have been maintaining this car for the past 4 years so we do have some service history. The car really needs nothing to drive right now and the next maintenance interval is not until the odometer reaches 151,800. The car just passed VA State Inspection in Feb. of 2008 and should pass inspection again for the new owner. Cosmetically, the car looks good inside and out, but needs a good detailing and of course some bodywork and paint for the damaged areas. Mechanically, all maintenance is up to date. Electronically, everything works fine. Since we are selling this car for a $1.00 starting bid with NO RESERVE I am not going to detail every cosmetic issue, but you will see from the 35 pictures below that the car is in very nice shape for it's age, mileage and recent accident.
Engine: Runs great!.
Transmission: Automatic transmission shifts great!
Exhaust System: No problems.
Tires: Nearly 70% tread-life remaining.
Brakes: Just passed inspection.
Steering: Effortless.
Air Conditioning: Blows Ice Cold!
Front Seats: Supportive with good leather. Dye is wearing thin on driver's side bolster.
Rear Seats: Look nice!
Carpet: Nice!
Headliner: Very Nice!
Dash: Looks good, but wood trim has some cracks, cigarette lighter will not close, pop-out cupholder is broken.
Electronics: Everything works perfectly!
Paint: Paint shine, color and gloss is very good. There are areas of scratches and chips all around, but most are minor. The main area of issue is related to the accident and impact to the rear end and front end.
Hood: Dented on the nose and buckled slightly on the right front side.
Right Front Fender: Minor scratches.
Left Front Fender: Minor scratches.
Right Doors: Lots of scratches and a ding.
Left Doors: Some black marks and a ding.
Right Rear 1/4: Small scratches.
Left Rear 1/4: Small black mark.
Trunk Lid: Major damage. Needs replacement. Closes, but not properly aligned.
Front Bumper: Small chips and scratches. Clip on right side broken.
Rear Bumper: Torn, gouged, scratched. Needs replacement.
Grille: Broken from collision.
Glass: Tiny surface chips in windshield. All other glass is fine.
Frame: NO PROBLEMS.

The BMW 528i Wagon...What a Luxury Sport Wagon Should Be.
Our 528i looks nice all around except for the two areas of cosmetic damage...
Notice the damaged nose on the hood and the broken grilles.
The minor frontal impact caused the hood to buckle slightly on the right.
The bumper on the right side has a broken clip allowing it to stick out slightly.
Notice the major area of damage to the rear hatch. It looks bad, but closes securely. You can also see the damage to the bumper here.

The dash is classic BMW and looks nice.
The thick-grip steering wheel has integrated controls for audio and cruise and is heated and has a power tilt/telescopic feature!
Mileage verification.
The center console has lots of rich wood trim.
The audio system has a cassette player hidden behind a flip-up wood trim and the CD Changer is in the cargo area side panel.
The dual-zone climate control works great! Notice the broken cupholder and cigarette lighter.
The passenger side dash has an airbag above and glovebox below.
