1997 BMW 740I. 4.4 Liter 32 valve FI v8Very sharp car. Mileage reads 136,907. I have other projects to tend to, and I don’t drive this one very much so this one goes. Car located in Salisbury, NC. Bought the car in Florida. Inspection is good to Oct-2008. Body is solid and straight, no rust, paint shines. Car has all options w/side air bags. Cruise does not work. Air blows cold, heat works nice and warm. Engine starts right up and idles nicely. Cars drives well, plenty of get up go. Transmission shifts nicely. Brakes work well, no issues. Interior is original and in amazing condition. Carpets have a couple of small stains but in nice condition. Floor mats could cover up. Seats are in great shape no rips or tears, again interior is in amazing shape. Gauges all work, lights work. Premium sound stereo /cassette and 6 CD changer in great condition, sounds great. Tires are 40% rear, but will need new front tires, tread is almost gone. 18” BMW rims look great. They have a bit of curbing but could clean up nicely. All glass is good. Electric trunk operates fine but will need new stabilizers. Some tools included with jack. Moon roof works well. Electric locks and alarm work well. The car is a great car but has a few issues. Engine leaks oil from a few places. I let it idle for a couple of hours and no drops but the next morning I have a small puddle on the garage floor. You can see oil spots on the rear after you drive it for an hour. Also some of the pixels in the dash are burned out. The trunk has a couple of scratches, minor and the front hood clear coat is faded a bit from the sun. Also there is a bit of a shimmy at 35-40 but it needs new front tires. Finally the cup holder slides out and will not lock in place, minor. I have other projects and I don’t want to put the time and money into this one. To the right BMW man, I think this could be an easy fix and a sharp ride. Comes with Bentley manual. $100.00 deposit due within 48hrs of auction end. Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping. I have driven the car on 50 mile trips with no issues. I take the car out every Sunday. I don’t see why you cannot drive it home. Balance paid as cash only upon pick up within 7 days. Car is sold as-is. Car is for sale locally so buyer reserves the right to end auction early.
