Up for auction is my 1995 740i. I have owned this car over a year and have put over 10,000 trouble free miles on her. I hate to give this car up but I own a restaurant and use a local wholesale club to purchase most of my dry goods and some food products. I maintain that the 7 series BMW is the best overall car ever made it is not ideal for hauling 600 lbs of french fries at a time so I bought a Volvo turbo wagon and since then my sedan sits in front of my house.
This car has been very good to me but being 13 years old it isn't perfect. I will tell you everything bad I can think of about the car. On the inside the floor mats need cleaned or replaced. The cup holder is broken and the ash tray doesn't close. The button for the hazard lights sticks at times. The tint job isn't the greatest on the rear window and there is a crack in the bumper cover on the drivers rear. This was all present when I bought the car. A few pixels are out on the radio display. Sometimes the closer to the trunk acts up. That's all the bad.
This car is very well equipped. It has a six disc changer in the trunk, remote entry, automatic climate control (ice cold a/c), xenon headlights, updated tail lights and more! The paint shines great and the seats have no rips or excessive wear. It starts every time and has never let me down. It has plenty of power and glides down the highway like butter. The five speed automatic performs flawlessly. The engine doesn't smoke, leak, overheat or anything odd. It idles so smooth you'd forget it's running if you didn't check the tach. I just spent in excess of $1,000 on all new tires, new struts and new tie rods/control arms. The winning bidder will get a lot of car for the money here. It is due for an oil change at 142,000. If you have any questions please ask me before you bid. Do not assume anything. Please don't bid unless you have funds in your bank account or a shoebox or something. I doubt a bank will loan on a car this age so I expect a cash buyer with their own money. I am flexible on pickup but the car must be paid in full within 7 days from auctions end. Feel confident driving this car anywhere. It has never left me down, ever. The reserve is a couple hundred lower than the buy it now but please no rediculous offers! The car is worth every penny of the $5,000 buy it now. I should mention that this car is NOT equipped with the "expensive to maintain" air suspension. The short wheelbase is perfect if you live in town (unless you enjoy parallel parking a limo :).
