I knew that BMW made a very special car in 2001 by shoe-horning the big S-54 315 hp engine into the Z-car. Here was the modern open-air Roadster.Near super-car performance, but with every day enjoyability. Great engine, super transmission, ABS brakes, dynamic stability control,air-bags, air-conditioning, power top, and maybe the best thing of all, heated seats. The top has only been up three times in three years! All the fun of my old Alfas but with power and reliability. This car has been an absolute joy to own and drive. Regretably, I must sell my "favorite toy". I only hope it goes to a good home that will take care of it and enjoy it as I have.
This car is in great condition.Everything on this car works the way it is supposed to. There are no stories or issues. Look at the leather seats, hardly a wrinkle, it has been taken care of.Just had the big service done weeks ago (before the tax bill). The car is 100% Needs nothing. Tires are 70%, top is great, plastic is clear.There is a BMW warranty on the engine to 100,000 miles. Nits: I scuffed the front left rim a few years ago. There is a scuff on the underside of the front right air-dam, not visible unless you get under the car.This car has no door dings, scratches and would exceed almost anyone's expectations of condition. I have just been told and confirmed that the warranty on the engine expired at six years and is no longer valid. Sorry for the mis-statement.
