IT IS A SWEET 2000 BMW M5 WITH ONLY 76K MILES AND ONLY TWO OWNERS. FULLY SERVICED, THIS BADA$$ CAR IS NOT FOR THE WEAK HEARTED. PERFECTLY SANE BECAUSE IT IS A NICE LOOKING SEDAN, ROOMY INSIDE AND IN THE TRUNK, GETS DECENT GAS MILEAGE, AND IS QUIET AND RELIABLE WHEN DRIVEN NORMALLY. PLEASE LET ME STOP YOU NOW IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN INEXPENSIVE, "NORMAL" M5. THIS IS NOT THAT CAR. THIS IS A CAR ONLY FOR SOMEONE THAT WANTS A WELL-KEPT EXAMPLE, NOT ONE THAT WAS THRASHED TO WITHIN AN INCH OF ITS LIFE. SHE'S FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN APPRECIATE THE DETAILS DESCRIBED BELOW, AND THAT UNDERSTANDS THAT WITH THESE CARS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I PAID TOP DOLLAR TO GET THIS CAR AFTER LOOKING FOR A WHILE BECAUSE MOST OF THE ONES I SEE ARE “BEATERS” TO PUT IT KINDLY. THIS ONE IS NOT A BEATER, IT’S AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A WELL-MAINTAINED, “LOVED” BMW M5. SHE HAS A NEW VANOS ACCUMULATOR, NEW IDLE AIR VALVE, AND MORE TO MAKE HER RUN PERFECTLY FOR HER NEW OWNER.
Here's the deal:
-- She's a 2000 BMW M5, in midnight blue metallic with black leather interior and matching black carpets. She has 76,xxx original miles, been BMW dealer serviced, a clear title with no issues, and no problems. --
-- Exterior 9 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Great overall condition paint, body, glass, and trim. Few if any scuffs or scratches. She looks gorgeous, with a deep glossy shine to her blue/black metallic paint. This M5 looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Please keep in mind you are viewing this car without any sort of detailing...just a full-service wash at my local car wash. --
-- The body panels are all original. No accidents ever. All the paint on those body panels is original too. Even the lower side-body moldings are clean and shiny. Glass/rubber/chrome/trim is all good. Look at the body panels; they are laser straight. --
-- The tires are expensive Michelin Pilot Sports on the staggered M5 18” aluminum alloy wheels; 245/40/18 in front and 275/35/18 in the rear, each with over 50% tread remaining. --
-- Interior 9 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, headliner, seat padding, dash, console, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, or wear/cracking on the leather anywhere. The seats look and feel new, even the driver’s seat. It’s just in great shape inside. --
-- The door panels and wood trim are also great. --
-- More of the great interior. She has the BMW factory installed navigation system, fold-down rear seats, parking sensors, and much much more. --
-- Even the trunk is neat as a pin. --
-- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory, and power mirrors work perfectly. Nothing is amiss, including locking system, seat heaters, or anything else. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and perfect. Heat is hot and A/C icy cold. Windows, sunroof, locks, etc. all perfect. This M5 is in PERFECT OPERATING CONDITION. --
-- Mechanical 10 out of 10 – This M5‘s engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong (STRONG!!). Transmission and clutch are silky smooth and takeup is progressive and not clunky. All systems working properly including ABS, traction control, TPMS, and all the other features. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks. --
-- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission/clutch smooth and ready to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, steering nicely weighted with no play in the box, and alignment (including thrust angle for steering wheel centering) right on target. ZERO leaks or noises. This M5 drives and handles like new. --
-- She has all her original BMW manuals in the leather folio, clear title, three keys with one remote, M5 floor mats, and most importantly, her service records are available from BMW. All routine maintenance has been done to make her a “plug ‘n’ play” car for her next owner…just put gas in and go! --
-- Everything is in great shape, and at 76K miles, she's not even broken in yet! --
-- If someone would like, I can provide A COMPREHENSIVE THREE YEAR WARRANTY GOOD UNTIL SEPTEMBER OF 2011 OR 110K MILES, GOOD AT ANY BMW DEALER OR INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. I paid $2500 for it, but I can get back a $2050 refund since it’s never been used, so I will sell it for $2050, the best deal you’ll ever get on a warranty like this one for an M5. I will also include a full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, and hand wax. I’ll also include BMW OEM touch-up paint for the winning bidder. --
-- Nits: A few minor scratches here and there (some of them will come out in detailing), some fog inside the passenger headlight housing (I am working on fixing this), and some normal (but minimal) signs of use on an eight year old car like some mild curbing to the wheels (I will refinish them at the buy-it-now price). THAT'S IT!! Nothing else. And if I did not mention those items, it's unlikely anyone would even notice...I just want to be up front and honest. --
