UP FOR AUCTION:
Two 1964 Buick Specials - The one being listed as the primary auction vehicle is the two door post.
The winning bidder will receive 2, yes two! 1964 Buick Specials. One (as seen in the picture) is a two door post hardtop and the other ( as seen in the picture) a four door sedan.
My uncle purchased the 2 door in the late 70's or early 80's as a daily driver and had began restoring it about 10 years ago. The four door seen in the pictures was purchased prior to the start of the restoration solely as a parts car. The winning bidder has the option of (but not the obligation) of taking both cars.
MORE INFO ON THE 2 DOOR POST:
The two door post is an original 6 cylinder car. The engine is shown in pictures on a stand. The engine was pulled from the car and was in good running condition. Not to say it wouldn't be a good idea to do a complete overhaul as it is an original non rebuilt motor. The floor pan on the passenger side has been replaced as well as the trunk pan. The drivers side and rear passenger area are a different story. They will definately need replacing. The rear quarter panels around the wheel well have been cut out and replaced and the front drivers side fender has had some work done to the very front tip. Besides for two other very very small dents, and a bit of rust showing through on the pillar between the rear window and the back seat passenger window, the rest of the car is VERY VERY clean and straight. 95% of the metal on the car is original. The windshield was replaced immediately during the early stages of the partial restoration and the rest of the glass is original and in tact. The interior has been gutted but we have preserved most all of the hardware and will be included with the auction. The upholstery will obviously need replacing. Along with the car and the original 6 cylinder engine will include 3 different grills and a extra front bumper. One of the grills are in fair condition, the other in rather good condition. Rather good meaning, wouldn't need to be restored if not going for "concourse correct" or perfect. Also three extra aluminum cylinder heads will be included in the auction.
MORE INFO ON THE 4 DOOR:
The four door was purchased primarily as a parts car. One big plus with this add on is the addition of the 310 Wildcat V8 which, besides the fan shroud, looks to be a perfect swap into the 2 door post. This was the original idea behind the purchase of the four door. The 310 wildcat is in good running condition as it sits right now. Technically, some new gas, plates, and a battery and you could drive it away. The pictures speak for themselves. Cosmetically the car looks to be in great condition. The interior offers many good spare parts for the 2 door. Not to mention that VERY RARE factory tissue dispenser as seen in the pics.
AGAIN!! This auction includes both the 2 door post and most of the parts to do a total restoration, the 4 door sedan which has its factory 310 Wildcat motor under the hood.
Please feel free to ask me any questions. I am listing the car for my uncle and between the two of us will answer any questions we can. Also, any pictures you don't see and would like to, let me know and I will have them to you asap!
NOTE: $250 due within 2 days of auction end, and remaining difference is due within 7 days of auction end. We can arrange for times to look at car upon request. Cars and parts are sold as is. No refunds, no returns.
THANKS FOR BIDDING!!!!!
