If you want a DEPENDABLE / RELIABLE car, this is it. It is ready to go any where after purchase. I am selling it because I need to {I don’t want to} but I have three cars as you can see in the first picture, my Father passed {Title is in my name} and I need urgent cash.
This 1999 Buick Century Custom 4 door sedan comes fully equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows and door locks, working cruise control, vanity mirrors, ice cold air-conditioning, heater works very well, AM-FM Stereo with cassette, and electric side view mirrors.
The interior is very nice but as you can see in the picture the Carpet can use some washing , hasn’t been cleaned since return from a ten hour trip, the engine hasn’t been washed / cleaned in one year but as you can see in picture still looks clean and great. The seats and Carpet still looks great. The dash board panel and door panels are good. The headliner is nice, and the window glass is clean and scratch free.
The exterior is also good. The paint is bright and shiny. There are a few dents and paint cracks as seen in picture {the pictures are real no touch ups or editing} No cracks on Windshield.
Mechanically, this car drives and handles almost flawlessly, but for a little almost insignificant humming sound from behind it’s been there since I purchased it and it hasn’t gotten any louder or worst, does not affect operation, It has a current state emission three months old. The engine is quiet and powerful with no oil consumption, no smoke, and no noise. The transmission shifts just the way it should, smoothly. The steering and front end feel great as do the struts and brakes. The power brakes works great{New rotors and brake pads} There are no vibrations of any kind when in motion.
The mileage as of today is 177,790 and could go up slightly, but don’t be deceived they are all Highway miles, I drive and still drive 120 Miles to and fro work daily. The engine is near perfect, runs silently {though might need servicing after my trip, confirmed by the service engine soon light} the engine and transmission has no hesitation or pulls of any kind. Just crank and go.
This is a used vehicle and as in most used car auctions is been sold as is with no warrantees written or implied, I have tried to summarize all that I know about this vehicle there could be others, overall this is a GOOD CAR, DEPENDABLE and RELIABLE, just crank and go, that has been my experience even today to and from work.
There are no leaks or drips. Buick’s 3.1 Liter V-6 is a great engine known for its pep and power while delivering around 30-34 mpg on the highway doing 65-75miles an hour.
