Up for auction 1986 Buick Grand National (one of 5,512 made that year)
157,000 miles. Purchased last year from the original female owner.
Don’t let the miles scare you, this is car runs great, and recently completed a 1300 mile round trip to Bowling Green Kentucky for the 2007 GS Nationals without any problems at all.
I have a lot of the original paperwork on this car, including the owner’s manual, original visor decal, original key blanks, original bill of sale ($17,159), and all of the repair receipts from the same Buick dealer for the last 19 years. Carfax is clean and a copy is included.
Options include: power windows, power locks, concert sound II, and right hand remote mirror.
Interior is easily a 9 out of 10, no rips or tears in the seats, and door panels, dash, etc.. are in great condition, not sun-faded like most, headliner re-done recently, weatherstripping all in good condition. New Kicker rear speakers.
Exterior paint is very shiny, but shows some wear, has heat checking on the roof and pillars, but no where else on the car, not noticeable from a 10ft distance. Several rock chips on the front, and light scratches in several spots on the car. Very straight, very difficult to spot any dings or dents. Has one large rust spot on drivers door, a little rust on the bottom of the doors, and in the trunk, otherwise solid.
Mechanically would trust to drive car anywhere. Recent plug wires, radiator, KN air filter, oil change, upper radiator hose, flush and fill, intercooler and throttle body cleaned. Runs and drives great. Only negatives, A/C does not work, and drivers side exhaust header is cracked (very common), and the rear main seal leaks oil a little (also very common), Power door locks work sometimes.
Complete, original car with all its original parts, great to drive for years if you want, or perfect for restoration. Clear title in hand.
