Time for the big guy to move on... Having lost her garage space, my sister is reluctantly selling her 1965 Riviera before the rainy season begins. I purchased the car about 15 years ago and then passed it on to my sis about 7 years ago. In a nut shell, it's a strong reliable driver in need of cosmetic attention inside and out. Over the years, we've done whatever was necessary to keep it running well and safe. This has included front end rebuild, radiator, water pump, gaskets and brakes. The car starts, runs and stops well. The rear brakes were just redone. The body, while presentable, has numerous dings and scratches and could certainly use new paint. The clamshells work but are slow. All lights, signals, wipers, etc. work. The upholstery is great but the headliner needs to be restiched along one seam. The wood veneer also needs replacing as does the plastic armrest/ door panel on the passenger side. On the driver's side, the arm rest is intact but discolored as is the rear window tray. The front power windows work well but the rear vents don't. The car is also missing one hubcap (I didn't bother putting the third one on for the pictures). To my knowledge, the engine's never been rebuilt but it is very powerful so perhaps it was prior to our ownership. It's a great car but it's reached a point where its cosmetic needs should be addressed and my sister is ready to let it go. The car also comes with a replacement grille and tranmission. Please feel free to ask any questions, and note the car is being sold as is and we reserve the right to end the auction early. On Oct-11-08 at 09:09:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Several people have asked about rust issues. I don't want To pull up the carpeting and insulation but from underneath, the floors, chassis and frame seem very solid and in good shape. The only rust I see is very superficial.
