Hello , thanks for looking at my neat old car. It's one of 10,212 made for the year 1963. This one has the high output, high comp. 215 aluminum v-8. It is listed at 200 h.p. and the 2 speed automatic . The top is in good condition, I see no rips or tears, the back window is fogged and very hard to see through. The top is manual, there are tubes and connections in the trunk, and a swithch on the dash, but no pump or pistons to move the top. As you can see from the pics, the car is in pretty good shape for it's age, the floors have only small holes rusted through. It is the same in the trunk, I tried to show these things with pics.The left front fender was changed and primered. The areas between the doors and back tires shows some body rot. I have been taking this car to some local cruise nights etc. with the for sale sign on it. The brakes are solid, drum on all wheels, no power brakes.It has power steering. This car was set up with A.C., there is a box in the trunk with the under dash unit and some other pieces. The compressor and some other parts are gone. The motor is peppy and runs ok, it needs a tune up and most likely a carb. cleaning or rebuild. The transmission shifts ok , it could use servicing I'm sure. This car sat for a long time and has had almost nothing done to it, consider it a decent barn find that runs and drives. Saying that , I would not consider it a good car to drive long distance until it has been gone through for safety etc. The speedo does not work, it stopped at 115,000. the gas gauge also does not work, it goes right to over full when the power is turned on. The front bumper is off, we have it, it's dented and bent... I'm told it can be fixed, it was off when I got the car. The interior needs to be redone, the foam is dry and the back seat has a section missing. It is still with the car but came free from the seat. The steering wheel is still in good cond, as well as the dash. (no box in the glove box). The car is loud, exhaust leaks, it wanders when driving, and it bounces..... I'm sure it needs some front end work and the tires have gone by from sitting too long. This car is an excellent project for someone looking for a cheap early American convertable. There is a clear Ca. title for it. We were going to fix it up, but we already have too many projects and not enough time or money!! PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. This car is being sold without warrantee or guarantee, as is were is, it's 45 years old!!!!! The seller reserves the right to end auction early, as the car is also for sale locally.
