Hello,
Up for auction is my 1972 Buick Skylark 2 dr. It’s a very clean ,decent, and solid car for the money, especially considering how the muscle car market has gotten out of control price wise in the past few years. This is a get in it and drive car! =) The body, undercarriage, doorjambs, trunk and frame are in nice shape as well. There is very little rust in some areas of the body (see pictures),but nothing out of control. Paint is in decent shape, but not 100%, as could be expected by a cruiser. It still gets compliments when I take it to cruise nights, and yes that is the only driving this car really has seen in my care, other than the occasional Sunday drive to the mountains. It currently wears QQ historic plates which limits the mileage I drive it. The interior is in very nice shape as well! (See pictures.) Heater control and fan are all in working order. There is a working sound system and amp from the nineties, but I never really messed with it, not my thing.
It comes with its original 112k mile powerful 350 2 barrel engine with true dual exhaust which runs very well and clean, and THM 350 transmission. The air cleaner says 4 barrel, but is not the case at the moment. Read below, there are extras which would change that. It is a power brake car with manual windows, all in good working order, (the rear windows also crank down perfectly). Tires are also in very good shape as well, riding on Oldsmobile Rally wheels. The A/C compressor works I was told by the previous owner, but she had it disconnected it some years back. I had the ignition converted to HEI IGNITION WITH A BRAND NEW DISTRIBUITOR AND JEGS 50K VOLT COIL, AS WELL AS MSD SUPER CONDUCTOR WIRES. The motor starts much easier compared to the point ignition system it had come with, however I am including the old point distributor as well in the sale of the car for originality purposes. I had the drum brakes upgraded with PRAISE DYNO BRAKE shoes to improve stopping, an economical alternative to disc brakes. Car Craft magazine had done a test on this conversion with favorable results a few years back which prompted me to go this route.(Well worth it.) Also included bit not installed is a rear antisway bar new in the box.
Car is sold as is.
Should the bidding exceed $4400, the following will be included: (See pictures). The reserve is much lower than this however, at a little less than I paid for the car itself.
1. NIB Edlbrock Performer600 cfm carb w/ electric choke
2. NIB T/A Performance dual plane aluminum high rise intake manifold for the 350 motor which includes new intake gaskets and new bolts!( A very desirable Buick performance item)
3. New T/A Performance BLACK BUICK ALLUMINUM VALVE COVERS for Buick 350 (INCLUDES NEW GASKETS)
These items I bought new but are not installed. Over $700 worth in extras! Basically , the idea here was to go for the Gran Sport look, without making a fake G/S as so many do these days. I thought this very tasteful.
I’m very sad to see the car go, but my life and geology/ environmental studies are taking me away from the Muscle car hobby during this time in my life. I’m not looking to make a lot of money on the sale, just perhaps what I put into the car during it’s time in my care.
If someone should wish to have a look at the car before the auction ends, please contact me through e- bay to schedule a time to have a look at it.
I will not ship the car, buyer is solely responsible for responsible for pick up of the car. Again, car is sold as is.
Winning bidder must contact me about payment within 1 day of the end of the auction. Full payment is expected with 7 days of auction’s end, before I will award the title to the winner.
Non paying bidders will be reported to e- bay without haste, so please only bid if you are a serious buyer and can feasibly pick the car up. If you have low or no feedback, buyer must contact me first before placing a bid.
Thank you and Happy bidding, =)

There is only one thing wrong with the car that I could find and found worth mentioning. The dashboard lights do not come up when the headlights are on. I spoke with my mechanic about it and said it was just the light switch that is the issue.
