Up for auction is a 1965 Buick Sport Wagon. This is a very unique vehicle with roof windows. I purchased this particular vehicle last Nov in Nebraska. It is currently in Illinois. The vehicle was driven back from Nebraska. I have had it in storage since I bought it and have come to the conclusion that I will not be starting this project.
I would not consider this a reliable vehicle. It is a rolling project. The vehicle was someone elses project prior. You can tell from the photos the prior owner started that body work. The vehicle is pretty solid the only rott on the veh is the left qter. See the photo for the quarter rust. The inner roof support also has some rott that would need to be patched. The headliner is missing but would cover the patch so it would not have to be that nice. The body does have some dents and dings but the doors and fender and hood are solid. The interior is average. There is no third seat and the second seat was removed and the prior owner made a 2 seater wagon for the most part. That piece that was installed could easily be removed. The original back seat is included in the auction also. The front seat is white and the rest of the interior is black.
The reverse lights and taillights are good both bumpers are bent. The grille is broke as well. I do have a better front bumper and grille that will be installed if someone wins the auction. The rear bumper can be straightened. I do have the rocker moldings as well. I took them off the car to see if the rockers were solid and they are solid. There is no roof rack it was not there when I bought it. Also one of the sport windows has a chip in it.
The engine is a 300 -2 barrel/ Auto 2 speed. The vehicle had all drum brakes and power assist. The rear window is power and works. It is not an a/c car but has power steering. There is no radio or antenna mast. It does have 4 -14 inch sport wheels with decent tires. I can't remeber the exact mileage but am gussing @ 100K, I think it's actually less.
The engine will need to be resealed, the vehicle leaks oil and anti freeze. The exhaust will be needed as well. It currently real loud. I would suggest this vehicle be trailered or towed. It does run and drive but not to have any unforseen problems I would have it transported.
I am open to offers as well. If you would want to make me an offer contact me and if I accept I will change it to a buy it now price of that amount. The car is also being sold locally so auction may end early.
The vehicle has a clear Nebraska Title.
There is no warranty on this car. The car has not been driven on the road since the trip from Nebraska. If you have any questions I will try to answer them. The vehicle is 45 minutes away from me so taking more pics right away is not an option.
The winner is responsible for shipping or pick-up. The vehcile will have to be moved with 30 days of auction end.
What you see is what you get in the photos. I probably have made the car sound worse than what it actually is but I want no suprises for anyone. It is a good project car, I would hate to part it out due to how solid it is.
Payment will need to be made within 7 days of the auction end.
