Vehicle Description
You are looking at a very fine example of a 1938 Cadillac 60 Special. This car had a ground up restoration performed in approximately 1990 and since that time, the car has been driven approximately 2,500 miles and has been stored inside. The overall mechanics are in excellent condition. This car runs and drives like a 1938 Cadillac should. The engine is the original 346 cu. in. 130 horse power flathead V8. This was Cadillac's first year of the three speed manual transmission mounted on the steering column. The paint is in excellent condition with virtually no dings or scratches. The outside chrome and stainless trim are also in very good condition. The glass is all intact and the windows roll up and down effortlessly. The doors align very well to the car and close easily, another example of the excellent restoration that was performed. The interior of the car is as representative as the outside. As the pictures indicate the seats, headliner, door panels are in very good condition with no rips or tears. The carpet eventually should be replaced, but is in very good servicable condition. The instruments operate correctly, except the temperature gauge which sometimes decides to work and sometimes doesn't. All of the lights work properly including the interior lighting on the instrument cluster.
