1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Cotillion White exterior, Tan Top Dark OxBlood interior. 500 CID engine. Overall condition of car is fair. Good restoration candidate. It is all original but the top paint. Repainted in 2000 the top replaced in 2004. The new top has been down only twice as the car has been stored since 2005. The glass back window shattered and needs replaced. Besides the options listed the car has; tilt telescoping steering wheel, climate control, remote side view mirrors, power trunk lock, headlight sentinel, AM/FM 8 track stereo radio with power antennae, and intermittent windshield wipers. Most of these options do not work but are repairable. Though the engine is strong and runs good it has a minor oil leak. Valve cover gaskets need to be replaced. The auto choke on the carburetor needs repair. Transmission is sound though there is a loud banging noise when shifting the car into reverse. The tranny leaks oil but not at the tranny. It is coming from the cooling tube where it screws into the radiator which was replaced in 2003 along with the water pump. The car is drivable however after being stored for 3 years I'm sure that most of the belts and hoses may be questionable. The tires-Steel Belted Radials-were new in 2003, have less than a 1,000 miles on them. Here again after storage I'm sure they are flat spotted and will thump. The interior of the car-seats, door panels-is really poor. The leather is all cracked and worn. It will all have to be replaced. There are no significant tares or damage, just the normal wear and tare of 30 years. The top of the rear seat is badly discolored. Carpet is OK but worn. The floor mats are worn but OK. There is a small crack in the dash pad, passenger side. See Pictures for all the above. The body of the car was refinished when it was repainted-clear coated. There are no dents or dings except the front passenger side, front fender extensions cracked at the top and the bottom is also damaged. It will have to be replaced. There is significant rust around the top right rear quarter panel at the corner of the top well. It will require new metal. On the same quarter panel, down in front of the wheel opening, is the beginning of rust. The inside rain gutter on the truck is badly rusted. The left rear-drivers side-trunk clip has also rusted. This is easily repaired. The bottom edge of both doors has rust on the inside edge, mostly from the drain holes. See Pictures. Remaining fenders, both front drivers side rear with the doors, as well as the hood trunk are straight rust free. Most of the bright work on the car is in pretty good condition. The rear bumper bumper could stand re-chroming. The emblem is missing from the right rear-passengerside-quarter panel. All other emblems moldings moldings are there. This is a three owner car. I bought the car with full intentions of restoration. I lost my sight in the spring of 2005 and so went the restoration intentions. It's too good a car to be parted out. Please email me with any question that you might have about the car. I will answer any all, as honestly as I can.
