Vehicle Description Too bad the engine is seized on this gorgeous 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine. The car had one owner in southern Illinois for most of its first 30 years and was obviously well maintained and garage kept. The 2nd owner was a blind VietNam Vet in Padukah Kentucky who owned it for the last year of his life. His relatives would drive him to his doctors appointments in it, I guess it cheered him up to at least be riding in a limousine. The oil change sticker shows it had the oil changed in late in 2005. Sometime after that, the engine locked up. A leaking oil drain plug? Who knows? Anyway I bought it in 2006 from the Vet's estate as a project car because it is otherwise in excellent condition. But I don't have time for it. I have stored it in indoors. The Vet was a smoker and the there is a burn hole in the rear seat to prove it. The car has 6, count 'em, 6 cigarette lighters and 6 ash trays. There is a factory CB radio, good buddy, built into the AM/FM stereo radio. The rear windows are tinted. There are very few cosmetic issues. The carpet on the transmission hump in the rear seating area shows some wear. There are 2 cracks on the instrument panel, a cracked trim part on the steering wheel, and just a small amount of crackling of the vinyl trim on the 2 front doors. There is only one small rust bubble I could find, under the left vinyl roof edge. The front right fender end is broken between the side light and the bumper, hard to notice in the photo or in person. The tires look brand new. The trunk is pristine. The engine compartment is pristine. This will be a great, fun, eyecatching collector car and driver for someone who will tackle the engine issue.
