About the auction item:
Up for auction is this 1955 Cadillac Hearse by Superior Coach. This is the rare and desireable Landau Top model, and even more rare is the fact that it is 100% stock and untouched. I have owned this for over 30 years. It does not run, the engine is seized. Body is straight with minor rust and a broken windshield. The drive shaft has been disconnected for towing purposes, and is inside the car.
It is currently being stored on family property in Cave Junction, Oregon 97523 (Southern Oregon just north of the California state line). You will need to arrange for it to be towed or trailered from there. The location of the storage is off a dirt loggin road approx 1/8th mile from the main town road. Seller's brother lives on the property and will be your contact for pick-up. You will deal with Seller for all sale issues.
This hearse would make an excellent project car for restoration, or a radical street custom.
Please be sure to have your Spouse/Parents permission to purchase this huge car before you bid.
Will provide Bill of Sale. No title. Car sold AS IS, no warranty expressed or implied.

On Jul-17-08 at 21:09:16 PDT, seller added the following information:
**7/17/08 NOTE: We had the hearse inspected this morning, to give more info on rusting. It was determined that there is a small area in the passenger's side front floorboard, where the floor has rusted through. The area rusted through is in the bottom, flat sheet metal and should be easy to repair or replace. We were not aware of that at the time of listing the hearse. All other info is correct and accurate.
