1955 Rare 4dr hardtop; looks like a 2dr because the last owner welded the rear doors shut to make it look like a 2dr. Needs total restoration. This car currentlly sits in my garage out of the weather. Has rust over the head lights but the rest of the front fenders are in rust free shape. The top over the windshield has been damaged and repaired poorly. The quarter panels seem to be rust free with minor damage to the right quarter. No interior,no motor,no transmission. Has original rearend,pontiac rally rims. Minor rust on the hood and trunk lid. Front door seem to be rust free also. The floor ban has been previously removed to be used on another project before I purchased the car. Does not have the grill headlights or the tail light assemblies. Has the windshield,back glass and one rear door glass. The trunk area seems to be rust free except for the spare tire valley has some minor rust thru.

I will try to talk to the previous owner and verify what modifications if any were made. There is bondo shown where the doors were welded but to my knowledge I can't tell if the roof has been changed. I am a not a chevy expert in no way so bid on the 55 according to your knowledge of chevies. I was told by the body shop that removed the grill and floor pan that this car is a factory 4dr and that there are no evidence of cut markings on the doors or anywhere that I can see. I don't know enough about chevy vin num. to know what this car truely is.

Hello, After all the information from you chevy experts,I'm a ford guy,I went down to the garage and started tearing off all the bondo repair off the roof above the windshield and did find a seam that obviously looks as though somebody did an overlay roof job. I do apologize for any misleading info. I do believe this car is a 55 but other than that is beyond me. So I retract that this is a rare 55 4dr hardtop and high bidder will win this car with no reserve.
