For Sale: 1979 Chevy Heavy 3/4 ton Pickup. 87,000 Mile. I am the second owner. The truck was rebuilt at 53,000 mile when purchused from the orginal owner.
At that time the following item were rebuilt
Engine: 350 4- bolt main bore .060" over, new flat top pistons and rings, 292 duration cam, elederbrock intake, 1.6 roller rockers, high flow oil pump, new fuel pump, water pump, holley 780 double pump carb with mechanical secondaries.
New start solenoid and battery this year
Drive Train-
New clutch disk, pressure plate, piliot bearing, throw-out bearing
4-speed manual- new seals
New ball joints and u-joint on the Dana 44 front axle
New seals on the 14 bolt rear end
New drive shaft u-joints and carrier bearing
All new steering ball joints
The truck is a good running truck will a lot of life left in it.
The body has the normal rust for this vintage truck. Rocker on the driver side, a few spots on the doors and surface rust on cab . Bed is solid and was replace at the time of rebuild. The cab a few spots of rust.
This truck will make a good work truck or plow truck.
The only items not working is the fuel gauge and the parking brake.
The truck can be inspected and driven just send an email and I will set something up.
The reserve is reasonable for the truck of this age. I have purcused a newer diesel truck and simply do not drive the truck very often.
Payment can be in the form of bank check or money order. Cash is acceptable at the time of pickup. Payment is required within 7 days of close of auction
