You are bidding on a nice VERY low-mileage 1996 Chevy 3500HD cab/chassis with only 61,001 miles on it. This truck has been owned and serviced by the city of Waco, Texas it's entire life. The truck is powered by the long lasting 6.5 liter turbo diesel engine and the MT-1 heavy-duty automatic overdrive transmission. The truck had a small flat bed removed from it, by the city, before being decommissioned. Carfax verifies the clean title and actual mileage on this one (click the CARFAX emblem below the pictures to see the entire report for free). The cab is in nice shape with only some small scuffs and scratches on it. The drivers fender and door were rubbing, but I have had them adjusted. The paint is chipped where they were catching, but has been touched up. THIS TRUCK HAS NO RUST ON IT. The frame is in great shape. The tires have about 40% tread left on them and are wearing evenly and smoothly. The interior is also in nice shape. The seat shows just a little bit of wear on it. There are no holes or tears in the vinyl seat, rubber floor or cloth headliner. The dash is in good shape with no cracks. This one obviously belonged to a NONSMOKER as there are no burns, no smells and a clean ashtray in it, plus the city doesn't allow it.
The city has taken very good care of this truck and really serviced it well. THE INJECTOR PUMP WAS REPLACED IN LATE 2000, SO IT WILL HAVE THE IMPROVED AND UPDATED MODEL IN IT. I have had the vehicle inspected by a mechanic. He found it to be in good mechanical shape with only normal wear. I have had the filters, fluids and belts all inspected and serviced as needed. WE FOUND VIRTUALLY NOTHING AT ALL THIS TRUCK NEEDED. It has no leaks or drips. It does not smoke at all. The transmission shifts out solidly and smoothly. THIS TRUCK IS READY TO BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE AND BE PUT TO WORK. All the electronic equipment works like new. The air conditioning is ice cold and the heater warm and toasty. There are just no known problems with this vehicle. I take pictures of all my vehicles as they are when they come to me. I don't detail them and shine them up to hide stuff in the pictures. The pictures of the underneath show you the normal road dust and the fact that there is NO RUST. I will have this one detailed and awaiting the winning bidder. THIS IS ONE SOLID TRUCK. IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL SERVICED AND LIGHTLY USED IT'S ENTIRE LIFE. THE BODY IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH ONLY MINOR CHIPS AND SCUFFS ON IT. THE FENDER WAS HITTING THE DOOR, BUT I HAVE HAD IT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TOUCHED UP AND LOOKS NICE. THERE IS NO FRAME AND NO ACCIDENT DAMAGE ON IT. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 40% TREAD LEFT ON THEM AND ARE WEARING EVENLY AND SMOOTHLY. THE INTERIOR OF THE CAB IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THERE ARE NO HOLES OR TEARS IN THE SEAT, RUBBER FLOOR OR HEADLINER. THE CONTROLS FOR A DIRECTIONAL SIGN ARE IN TRUCK, BUT OBVIOUSLY THE SIGN IS GONE. THE DASH HAS NO CRACKS IN IT. THE TRUCK IS ROCK SOLID MECHANICALLY WITH NO ISSUES.
