Up for auction is a 98 Z28 with an SS hood and spoiler. The color is BGM (blue green metallic). Their is about 112,000 miles on the body and about 6500-7000 on the 408 iron block. It has a 6 litre out a HD silverado with a 4340 forged crank, Mahle forged pistons, and h-beam rods. It has a custom gring comp cam with a 631 lift, LS6 intake, 42 lb injectors, BBK 80 mm throttle body and mass air flow, SLP air lid, 1 7/8" Kooks long tube headers. The car dynoed 464 rwhp on motor and is tuned for 93 octane. The car also has a wet nitrous kit on it. the kit consists of a 15 lb bottle with heater, big solenoids and purge solenoid, and the NOS plate between the intake and throttle body. The pills that are in it is a 150 rwhp setup, which puts the car at 614 rwhp. The rear end is a 9 inch ford spooled with a 390 gear. It has an aftermarket torque arm, control arms and subframe connectors. It has QA1 fully adjustable shocks on all four corners with SLP drag springs. The transmission in the car is a very fresh turbo 350 with a PTC 3500 nitrous converter. I run the car on the street with full exhaust but it has 2 3" cutouts at the end of the headers for the track. It has 10" welds on the rear with 325/50/15 MT ET Street drag radials and skinnies on the front.
The interior is stock except the rear seat has been removed as seen in the pics. The Nitrous is setup to spray with the horn and the bottle heater is hooked up to the rear window defroster.
The camaro performs really well on the street and at the track especially to be running a drag radial and not a slick. It runs 6.90's @ 100.2 mph on the motor in the 1/8 th leaving at 2600 rpms (converter is still very tight) and shifting at 5800 rpms. The car has only made 3 passes on the bottle running 6.50's @ 109 mph and was not sprayed until the 60' mark. Also those passes were made with Iridium plugs instead of cold NGK TR6 plugs and without retarding the time any. The car should run high 10's in the quarter on motor and low 10's on the bottle, but it has never made a 1/4 mile pass. The track this car has run on is not the best track but it is all we got. It should pick up around 2 tenths on other tracks.
I have time slips, videos, and dyno paperwork on the car. The time slips will show how much more potential it has by looking at the 60' times. The 60' times are usually 1.60 and sometimes a 1.59 and they will show the same on the bottle passes proving that it is not being sprayed out of the hole. With the correct timing adjustments and spark plugs, and spraying the car out of the hole should easily gat this car into the 6.20 range on a drag radial.
I drive the car daily on pump gas. The speedometer has not been converted to the turbo 350 but there are kits available to hook it up. The trans only has approx. 1k miles on it.
Please do not bid on this car if you don't have the money. I have bought another project and that is why this car is for sale.
