I've owned this car for the last 13 years. I bought it when I lived in North Carolina and brought it with me when I moved to Michigan. I found out when I tried to sell it in August of this year that it had a salvage title in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1992 (3/25/1992). I am relisting this with a salvage title, but I had no problems in North Carolina and in Michigan getting the vehicle titled. My current Michigan title does not say salvage on the title and neither did my North Carolina title. I use to drive this car on a daily basis (summer time) when I was younger. This car gets alot of attention. There were few convertibles made in this body style and even fewer were Iroc models. Now I'm married with kids and this car does not get driven. I've driven the car approximately 6 times in the last 2 years and four of the times were to and from storage. I'm selling the car because my in laws moved out of state, so I don't have anywhere to store the vehicle. I've put alot of time and money into the car over the last few years due to the vehicle setting so much. I replaced the water pump last year, I had the inside of the intake and plenum brushed out 3 years ago and a new computer (with hypertech chip) installed last year. Every year I plan on restoring the car, but I haven't really found time to take on the project, so now it is time for someone else that has the time to restore this car to it original beauty. Here is a list of the updates I have done throughout the years. Dyno Max exhaust (breaths better, but not loud) BM shift kit KN Air filters Air foil on the throttle body New water pump New computer with Hypertech performance Chip Viper alarm system This year I noticed the front brakes were hanging up when I drove the car home from storage, so I took it to the local franchise shop and they replaced the front brake hoses and flushed the system. The brakes do not hang up anymore. Now for what the car needs. The car needs a paint job. The hood and the trunk lid are very faded and has some chipping. I took close ups of the worst areas for defects. The hood is dusty in the one picture, but it shows the defects the best. There are no rust holes in the body, with the exception of the floor board on the driver side. The rust hole is located behind the driver seat. No idea why the floorboard rusted right there! The speedometer cable stopped working on the 4th of July 2007. I took it up to see the fireworks with the kids and the speedometer stopped working on my way home. The cable likely siezed up from setting and the plastic end broke off. I've put probably 300 miles on it since then. The speedometer currently says 112,919. The check engine light came on when I was coming home from storage, but it didn't effect the performance of the vehicle. Could be a sensor. The convertable top should be replaced. It has some wear spots in. I replaced the top once since owning the vehicle. This is all that I can think of that the car needs. As I mentioned I don't drive the car on a daily basis. The car is being sold as is but I welcome serious bidders to stop by and look at the car. You can bring a mechanic and look over it, whatever makes you feel comfortable with your purchase. Other information: I've never had the whole car painted. I had the passenger side door painted because a grocery cart hit it. This door looks much nicer than the driver side. The driver side has the paint problem by the lock (see picture). I also had the front nose repainted because a car wash stratched it up. Any questions please let me know and I will respond quickly.
