Your are bidding on a 1986 Camaro IROC Z , this car would be a " Project Car " . It is NOT driveable the way it is and would need to be towed by the new owner. The car does runs and it has a GM 350 crate motor in it that is about 6 years old or so ( 300 HP motor ) , the car has been sitting for the past 4 years and the fuel in the tank is no good, like I said it does run but it has a miss ( probably fouled plugs from the bad fuel ) New set of plugs/tuneup with fresh fuel and it should run perfect. The transmission shifts fine with no known issues . Like I said this is a project car and because of this the car is being sold with " NO RESERVE" this is an absolute sale. Whatever the final price , it will be sold PERIOD !!!
Other mechanical issues that will need to be addressed is this car will need an exhaust system . I recently installed a " brand new " y-pipe from the motor, but behind that there is nothing. it will also need brake work , there is a rear brake line that is leaking causing the pedal to be on the floor, the car has 4 fairly new tires on it, they have plenty of tread and are mounted on the original rims that a previous owner attempted to polish.
The body of the car is NOT in bad shape for a 22 year old car, it needs a new windshield , there is a dent on the drivers side that can be seen in the pictures, this dent affects both the drivers door and front fender, however I am including in this auction a "RUST FREE" complete replacement door and a " Brand New" front fender. there is a small rust hole in the hood about the size of a peach pit, other than that this car is solid and straight with just minor surface rust , undercarriage is also very clean, this car will need a repaint as the original paint is shot with pealing clear coat, again this is a " Project Car" I want NO MISTAKE about this fact, but with a modest investment in mechanical , interior and paint issues, this car would be a nice ride.
The interior is also about what you would expect from a 22 year old work in progress, it is complete ( NO radio ) but shows wear from age. this is a T Top car and they do not leak but as with any restoration probably a good idea to change the t-top seals. I have upgraded the instrument cluster to the 145 cluster , 1986 came with the 85 speedo.
