Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Before you bid! A nonrefundable deposit of $500 will be required within 24 hours of auction ending. The remaining balance is due within 7 days (1 Week) or the car will be relisted. I would prefer the winner pay in cash / cashiers check in person. I am relisting this car because of problems with the last high bidder, who couldn’t pay. Please don’t send any balance over $500 through paypal, too expensive! 1988 DEI Chevrolet IROC Camaro Z28 Clear Title 44,xxx Original Miles L98 350 CID / 5.7 Liter OEM Borg Warner T56 Conversion 6 Speed Standard / Manual Transmission A Spohn Cross member and Adjustable Torque Arm are used for mounting. All OEM GM Components used, except for the Pro 5.0 Short shifter. This was done is such a way that the car is as if it were from the factory. Reverse lights, and hatch operate to OEM specifications. Everything but the bell housing was purchased brand new, with receipts to confirm. You have to manually push through the reverse lock out solenoid get to reverse, requires a little oomph. Electric to mechanical speedometer box installed and calibrated. This is the same transmission used in the 94-97 Camaro/Firebird, so it is technically a bolt on. This unit was built by Texas Motor Sports and should handle 500 hp – It should last forever with the original engine. Paint is in good condition, has some small touch ups here and there but is original, except on the passenger side where the mirror was repaired. 99.999 % Rust free body 3rd Adult Owner – All receipts since ownership - Never raced or abused. I have the original owner’s manual and the GM T-top cover / case. Full Power – Everything Works Perfect Seats (Passenger is in perfect condition but driver has typical wear) Mirrors Hatch Release Windows Locks KN Filters, Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, Throttle Body Foil, 7mm Wires, High Flow catalytic converter and flow master exhaust. Engine is very reliable and has a lot of torque. Carbon Fiber interior and CF OEM fuel door – Looks Great! + No one else has this! Air Conditioning still blows ice cold! Heater works great. Oil has been every 3000 miles w/ Mobil 5W30 Synthetic since dealership. Tune and Alignment Recently Done Outside of the transmission conversion, this car is pretty much unmolested and retains all factory brake, suspension etc components. Everything is original. This is really a classic car; it is from the Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet Dealership in North Carolina. This car was picked up in Knoxville TN and driven back to Colorado. It has been stored during winter. It is currently my daily driver but I need money for grad school which starts on 8/25 – so I need money fast. I figure since winter is on its way, the car will have to go to someone else or risk being totaled in the cold. Interior is really clean but there is a worn spot on the drivers seat (see photo). I am confident without a doubt that this car could drive anywhere in as is condition. The speakers in the car are all new Alpine S Series. 6x9’s in the Back and 4x6’s in the dash. It has a great sound, very clear; I listen to classic rock so it suits me fine. A new Premier DEH-P790BT CD/MP3/DVD unit with remote control and Bluetooth, iPod controls, etc is installed. This Camaro is the top of the line model for 1988 – every option except for leather and defrost. Concerns: At any legal speed the car has a great and sporty ride but above 90 MPH and there is a vibration from the rear right wheel, as it must have hit a pot hole but there is no visible damage. Rims are in good condition, no rash but marks where the weights once were. The weights are now on the inside where they should be. There is an egg sized scratch/dent area on the hood and 2 small dings on the fender (see photos). Outside of that and some very minor touch ups, the body is very clean and very straight! The interior is in great shape! Typical driver’s seat wear, passenger + rear seats are in excellent condition. The headliner was replaced since the original was deteriorating and dusty, it was replaced less then a year ago but the glue is already starting to fail. The GM Headliner has been long since discontinued but the replacement is identical to the one carried by “Year One”. Headliner Fabric is new but needs to be reglued with something that can withstand higher temperature. I am assuming that is why it is failing. My father backed into the passenger side mirror in the drive way some time ago, but it was professionally repaired. I am estimating what the final mileage will be at the end of this auction because I will be driving the car until it is picked up. Please bid only if you wish to comply with the following: - NONREFUNDABLE $500 Deposit within 24 after the auction ends - Cash or Certified Cashiers Check to pay remaining balance -This is a private transfer and the camaro will be sold as is, no warranty implied. High bidder is responsible for shipping and or transportation costs. However - I might be willing to deliver if arrangements are made before auction ends. High bidder would then be responsible for fuel, food/board and possible flight costs. I will charge .45 cents per mile driven.
