1971 chevy tow truck (project). NO RESERVE AUCTIONThis truck does run and drive but not far. It needs it's carb either rebuilt or replaced. The carb's gaskets are all leaking gas (not safe). This truck has not been used for over 20 years. All back California DMV fees are now paid and it is non-oped ($413.00). I have all of the paperwork from DMV to prove that. It just needs a VIN# verification to be back on the road. None of the lights work as the wiring harness is cut at the firewall??? It has a LAMB tow deck and front push bumper and not a wimpy one like new tow trucks. It comes with a non-operational Pierce #9000 winch with 100' of 1/2 cable. I have installed a new battery. This truck is California smog exempt forever. It has a later model 350 engine and a turbo 400 trans. Both seem to work well. One ton dually rear end. 99% rust-free, California truck. The only rust that I could find was on the door sill on the bottom. Please note pictures. The front windshield is cracked. The rear sliding window is broken but I do have a replacement that goes with it. The interior need attention but is all there. With some TLC, this could be a beautiful old tow truck.
