You are bidding on a great cream puff project car. If you have been looking to get into the muscle car action this 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle is the perfect car for you. This car is brimming with opportunities. I purchased the vehicle approx. 3 years ago and need to sell it as my wife and I are having a baby and will be moving soon. I hurts me to have to sell my dream car but sacrifices need to be made. You can: drive it while you finish off the restoration and keep it, you can finish it and resell it to cash in on the GM muscle car craze, or get it ready for the track As you can see, much of the work on this car has been done. And all that remains is to finish off the front end with some trim and some interior work. The headliner has been restored. Both front quarter window frame and posts have been triple chrome plated. The side windows are missing and need to be replaced. All paperwork has been kept for any and all modifications and work that has been done to the vehicle since I have owned it. There is a noise under the hood. Unfortunately I cannot validate what or where it is coming from. The engine has been rebuilt and thoughtfully modified (see below) and is screaming fast. With less than 1800 miles on the rebuild and restoration, this car handles well, drives straight, and runs great. It looks good too. But don't take my word check out the extra pictures accessible by clicking here!! Please note that while the paint job is very good, it is not great and there is some overspray and few sander marks on the windows. Other than this one blemish the frame is perfect. Do not let this scare you, this car tracks perfectly straight and is completely sound. There is less than 1800 miles on the newly rebuilt motor Balanced and blueprinted 350 ci V-8 bored 30 over with Crower Rods/Steel Crank, 4 bolt main, Wiseco Nitrous Pistons, and Edelbrock aluminum heads It is a nitrous motor built for 250 hp nitrous (never hooked up) Turbo 350 3 speed automatic transmission with brand new shift kit It has an MSD 6A ignition system It also has a true 12 bolt 355 posi rear end The power brakes are new with an extra vacuum pump to deliver additional vacuum to the brakes. On Oct-09-08 at 18:53:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello to all interested buyers. I have received some emails regarding the pictures link, the noise under the hood, the interior, and other misc. Unfortunately I don't know a whole lot about cars/engines. The noise is noticable, not too terribly loud. It sounds like a vibration, only once the vehicle is up to 50-60mph, and stay at a constant speed. If you are worried about this and are very interested, I would recommend looking and listen to the vehicle, and even take it to a mechanic. The interior is in good shape. It has new carpet, new headliner, the rear dash has been re-wrapped. The seats are in good shap, no tears. There are 2 window handles missing, which are very cheap to replace. As I stated I have taken the driver and passenger window kit out, they were just in bad shape. The exhaust is very loud. If you like the typical muscle car sound, this is is. I have been told by several people that whoever built this car, basically built it to go 1/4 mile. The vent window posts and frames look amazing. Because I spent so much money on them, I have not put them back in place, easy fix.
