Vehicle Description
This car is a sharp 1964 Chevelle Malibu Sedan restification. It's had a complete frame off about 4 1/2 years ago. It is garaged kept under cover and has never been raced or beat on. For the most part it is only driven about once a month on short trips around town, but the oil is changed every three months regardless of mileage. It has been on two long road trips(1,000-1,500 miles) in it's second life and I have never had any problems except the occasional door popper not popping. It does have Manual steering and Manual front disk brakes. The new owner should consider a Power Steering upgrade or the new Rack and Pinion systems that are now available for "A" bodies. The reserve price is FAR below the sum total of parts that went into this vehicle, not to mention the HUNDREDS of hours in labor and time. Everything on this car has been rebuilt or replaced with the exception of the door glass and rear glass. The paint is beautiful and I get nothing but thumbs up and compliments wherever I take it. Finally, the car is not just a collection of cool parts. I put a lot of thought into what's been installed, most things I am happy with and some I'm not. The point is that I take pride in what I do and I think whomever buys this car will understand they got a great deal. With kids in College and mounting responsibilities it is time for the car to go. I simply don't have time for it any longer. Happy Bidding!
PAINT
DuPont Hot Hues “Raging Ruby” Basecoat/Clearcoat. Color sanded and buffed. Not perfect but VERY nice. I made every effort to do it right. Painted October 07.
BODY
All welding was done with a Lincoln MiG using Co2 Argon gas. GoodMark Master Fastener kit, virtually every nut and bolt are new. NO rust repair was done on doors and the only filler used was for block sanding and smoothing. The door handles were shaved using sheetmetal and not just bondo to cover the holes.

Autoloc Shaved Door Handle kit installed in the 2 front doors. They can be TEMPERMENTAL in that sometimes they won’t pop but I think it needs a stronger battery or the remote needs a new battery. There is an emergency cable that exits at the drivers side vent window to open the doors if the poppers don’t. The cable is routed in the door. The Rear doors do NOT have poppers and need to be opened from inside.

ENGINE
Original 283 block bored .030 for 287 CID. Approx 3,500 miles since rebuild. Big block radiator. Timing advance curve , all in by 3,000 RPM. No vacuum advance, about 10 inches of vacuum at idle. Oil pressure about 60 + cold, 40 hot
World Castings 305 heads, 72cc chambers, 1.94 /1.50. Stock 283’s had 1.72 /1.50. The larger Intake valves really wake it up. Increased CC from the stock 58 to 72 to yield a static compression ratio of about 7.5:1. Low compression + high boost will yield more power than high compression + low boost. Also allows engine to run cooler, permits the use of 87 octane fuel for just cruising, and saves wear and tear on the bottom end. I do not have the original heads.
