The big block 1966\1967 Chevrolet Corvettes are simply becoming some of the most desirable collector Corvette's on the planet. This is totally evident by the rising prices we've seen in the past few years. Now is your chance to own this totally numbers matching (with the exception of the Carburetor which is a a correct service part), Rally Red, 427\390 HP Corvette Convertible! Lets start out with the numbers! According to the original factory sticker, this car sold for $5869 in 1966! With options including Leather Black Trim (2402AA), V-8 427 engine rated at 390 HP mated to a 4 Speed Transmission (2M21AA), the desirable Rally Red exterior paint (2974AA), Transistor Ignition (2K66AA), Power Steering (2N40AK), Positract Axle 308R (2G81JA). In addition the interior comes with the with a PB AM/FM Radio (2U69FA), Tinted Windshield (2A02AA), Wood Steering Wheel (2N32AA) with Telescopic Steering (2N36AA), and Power Steering (2N40AK).
In 2002 this car went through a complete restoration where each of the parts was meticulously restored to factory condition. The car initially came with Vacuum Power Breaks (2J50MA), but they were removed during the restoration by the previous owner. The engine has been completely rebuilt and restored. As mentioned above the carburetor and alternator were the only non-original parts in the car, but both are correct replacement parts. It comes with a red hard top and a black soft-top. The car has been heavily researched and the previous owner has included the original factory sticker, owner's manual for the car, owner's manual for the radio, original instructions to remove the "Quick Take-Off" Wheels, and even the original Chevrolet Owner's Protection Plan. In addition to that stack of documents, we have service records, receipts, and an entire binder of high resolution close-ups of the car during the restoration and numbers matching components.
In 1966, this car was one of 22,000 produced that year. It was also the first year that Chevrolet introduced the 427! This car needs absolutely nothing! With only 36,800 original miles, this car has plenty of years left to be enjoyed! Do not wait on this car, correct, low mileage '66's do not last long in any collector car showroom!
