This Auction is for a 1966 chevy Impala Hard top. Frame is in excellent condition and has usual surface rust but absolutely no visual frame rot. This is a factory Air car but the A/C is not hooked up so I dont know what it would need to work, but all the parts are still on the car. Im not sure what engine this car is supposed to have, but I know it didn't come with a 350, and thats what is in it now. Also has the chevy 350 badges. Also, it was a collum shift automatic, but at some point was changed to a floor console automatic shift. This car has an Edelbrock Performer Intake with brand new intake gaskets. A Brand New Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor. A New Rebuilt Distributor with accel cap and rotor, AC plugs, and Accel 8mm wires. Brand New headers from summit racing. The exhaust is just two straight pipes coming off the headers and then two new Thrush Turbo Mufflers. Also has new Valve cover Gaskets. Sunpro Tach on the collum. The dash has cracks in the middle and the front seats are ripped with Elegant brand seat covers. Rear seat is original and is in very nice condition along with the headliner. Center console is missing the door and the rear part of it is broken. Original carpet is in good condition but faded. Aftermarket Stereo. Floor pans on driver and passenger side front are bad but someone has put tin over the holes. Rear floor pans look good. Trunk Floorpan is bad with little holes all over. All suspension is there and car seems to drive pretty straight and handles like all the cars of its day....Like a Boat. Body looks in pretty good shape. There are a few bad cancer spots on the rear quarter panels at the bottom and above the wheel wells. Trunk lid has some rust on it and one hole...See Pictures. Also, it looks like at one point someone hit something and it has a crease on the passenger side quarter panel. Some of the chrome is very nice but a lot of it needs help. Grill has a few dents. Car is all there and could be restored to a very nice car or could be driven the way it is. Tranny seems to shift nice and the car runs very nice at idle but I cant seem to get the timing down right, so every time you give it to much gas it starts backfiring. I had it running better than it is now and drove it around my town and it ran and drove nice but now with the way it backfires its hard to drive. I just think I dont know enough about points systems. Has the old slot style wheels on it but they arent in great shape, and neither are the tires. Has some wetness under the front end from when the valve covers were leaking. Has rear air shocks which can raise or lower the car by about two inches in the rear. '66 was the first year for the new front end and the bar style taillights instead of the round ones. This car is sold AS-IS and can be a very nice car. Delivery available on open car dolly starting at $2.00 per mile, depending on distance. I was gonna fix this car up but I have six cars and not much money so I gotta get rid of a few. The odometer says the car has 18,000 miles but that probably means 118,000 miles. Not sure. Paint is also in fair shape with some large and small chips and a little surface rust starting in a few places. Any questions please E-mail me. Glass is all in excellent shape, with very little cloudiness in the corners. The door panels are also starting to look a little old.
