Solid 1968 Impala! One Owner
No reserve!!
This Auction is for a 1968 2 door Chevy Impala with 55,880 original miles! Garage kept and in great condition. This car was special ordered in 1968 and the owner still has the original order slip. (View pictures).
Owner has all documentation from the time it was purchased new in 1968.
And all documents from where this car has been serviced over the years. The last time this car was on the road was in
August 2004 by the inspection sticker. This car was purchased by a family member and has been in the family since it was bought new from a local dealership.
This car has never been mistreated or driven hard and garage kept. It even has the original 1968 Chevy Impala owners’ manual that came with the car.
Everything is still all-original on this car except for the paint job. It has the 327 original engine with the original automatic transmission.
It comes with power steering and Air Conditioning but it does not have power brakes. This car is solid and runs great and only needs some

What this car needs to be back in show room condition is a new paint job. This car had a minor repair done to the right lower front fender. (Please view the picture).
The owner had the whole car repainted so it would match but it is not the best paint job and should be repainted. It is the factory Green in color.
The main thing I see that needs replacing on this Impala is the wheel well moldings. Also the side molding should be replaced or repainted. But that doesn't cost much and would recommend replacing. Being this car has been garage kept, it has very little rust on it. The front chrome bumper and rear chrome bumper both have some scratches
on the outer edge on the drivers side. So I would have the bumpers replaced or rechromed to be back to A-1 condition.
The interior is all-original and for being 40 years old, it is in great condition! The headliner and dashboard is in good condition. But the
Drivers front bench seat has some small cracks in it now but that can be expected due to age. The small cracks in the front seat is the worse
Damage and wear I can see in the interior and it wouldn't take allot to have that recovered. The carpet is faded some and should also be replaced.
I want to be honest here and not misrepresent this car but like I said before, this car only needs some minor repairs, nothing major.
The tires are almost new and have very little wear on them. We also had to install a new battery to get the car started and backed out of the garage.
All Glass, including windshield are in great shape.
The vinyl top is in good shape for its age, no rust is showing through but the vinyl top has some small cracks that have appeared. The frame is in great shape and no rusted out panels that I could see. The car should be put on a lift and thoroughly inspected but for 40 years old it is in great condition! I have seen cars that are 4 years old in worse condition than this car.
With the pictures you will also see the photos of documentation that comes with the car, even the original invoice where this car was ordered from a Chevy Dealership and all service documents.
What this car needs running wise is, a little Carburetor work, a tune up job and it will be road worthy again. Cosmetically the car needs, new chrome moldings (wheel and side molding), rechrome bumpers, redye or replace vinyl top, recover front seat and new paint job.
