Hello all, the vehicle that you are looking at is a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Just in case the title didn't give that away. This car is my mother-in-law's. She was planning on selling it to my brother-in-law but he moved to Lake Louise and now does not need a car. The problem, neither does she (she is booting around town in a nice new convertible bug). Anyway, here is the deal on the car, it is a commuters car spending most of its life doing the highway trip between either Cambridge and Toronto or Cambridge and London. For those who know these routes do not have a lot (but some) stop and go so these are primarily easy miles. The car at last check had 308,491 kilometers on it and it is not plated so it is very unlikely that the kilometers will go up between now and when the lucky winner comes to pick up the car. This car is on its second owner, the original owner was as part of a fleet for Loblaws - driven by my mother-in-laws boss so the history of the car is well known. It has been serviced primarily be the gentleman that services most of Cambridge's police cars so it is well taken care of. We have had the car in for a safety inspection and all in all it faired pretty well there are a few minor issues but for someone mechanically inclined these are easy fixes - there were no glaring problems identified. Here are the issues as listed on the report: L/S Rearview Mirror; R/S Reverse Light Assembly; L/F Marker Bulb; L/F Door Hinges; Both Front Lower Control Arm Bushings L/F Hub Bearing; Both Front Upper Strut Mounts and Bearings; Both Rear Upper Struts Mounts; Rear Stabilizer Bar Links; L/R Brake Proportioning Valve and Steel Brake Lines Rear Brake Rotors Machined. As you can see the suspension needs a bit of work and there are some cosmetic issues, but the engine, tranny and electrical (all the expensive systems) are doing just fine. So now we have done the research, the car is available for viewing, now all you have to do is bid (oh yeah and pay for it). Happy bidding!
