AT AUCTION: A 1987 CHEV. SILVERADO 3/4 TON PICK UP WITH:
454 FUEL INJECTED ENGINE
FULL SIZE BED
STICK SHIFT, 4 FORWARD GEARS (including low, low), ORIGINAL TRANS, 2 WHEEL DRIVE
DUAL INDEPENDENT 20 GALLON GAS TANKS W/MANUAL SWITCH
TILT WHEEL
MAACO PAINT JOB 4 YEARS AGO
TOW PACKAGE INCLUDING EXTRA RADIATOR COOLING FAN
A/C - REPLACED IN AUGUST OF 2000 WITH NEW (not rebuilt) DELCO COMPRESSOR
SPECIAL NOTE: Odometer quit at 122193 about 2 years ago and I figure I added another 15,000 since then.
I asked my son's body-work friend to look her over. He says that all blemishes are cosmetic. There are only two rusted areas (see photo) that he tells me are no big deal to repair. The windshield has a crack and will eventually need to be replaced. Cab headliner is held up with upholstery twist pins.
Silverado emblems not replaced after paint job. Tires, on upgraded (but dirty) rims are in decent condition.
I bought this truck in New Mexico in March 1986 and have "enjoyed" ten miles per gallon ever since. Burns very little oil and can climb mountains with ease. Since then, she has had lots of female-type TLC over the years including new: starter, power steering pump, water pump, idle air control valve, clutch master cylinder, mechanical oil pressure gauge, front end ball joints, idler arm, control arm bushings, and on-time general maintanance.
I recently returned to New Jersey - truck is still registered in New Mexico and they do not require emmision tests.
Please direct serious inquiries to me thru ebay or blue-skynj @hotmail.com or call me (before 9 pm eastern daylight savings time) at 973-663-1558.
I will require $500 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of close of auction and cash balance at time of pick-up unless different arrrangements are made by phone.
If you have zero feedback, please telephone me before you bid.
