1968 Chrysler Newport Custom Hard to find model 2 door hardtop bucket seats 383 motor dual exhaust. Auto transmission with console shift. Aftermarket period Kelsey mag wheels Factory radio (not working ( could be fuse?) Aftermarket vacuum fuel economy gauge Telescoping, tilt steering, Power steering Power brakes Red vinyl leather look interior is in excellent shape for the year Very few rips rips or tears. Console is broken at the back (see photos) All pieces are there Electric windows all work but need to be cleaned up and lubed to work properly . Complete with lots of chrome ( in very decent shape) Fender skirts (plus an extra set in the trunk) Original faux vinyl top. Sex lights under dash and behind grill Older restoration body work evident ( see pics of inside trunk) on rear wheel wells is needing to be redone as filler is bubbling. rust hole in trunk. There could be more but that is all I saw Odomter reads 42000 + miles but don't know if or how many times it has been around.
Car had a new fuel pump and brake job recently, It starts and runs, albeit rough and noisy as there is an exhaust leak somewhere in the passenger side exhaust pipes. (See video to hear it run ) 3 speed automatic transmission shifts well
This is a relatively rare and very restorable car that is currently drivable although it has not been licensed for a number of years. It will easily form the basis of a a beautiful cruiser that could probably be driven as it was being worked on.
Includes the original owners manual along with the original Certicare card.
