Medical and Vet Bills force me to part with my treasure.
This is one of the nicest Z cars you will find that hasn't been fully restored. It needs very little to put it in prime "original " condition . This car has been in storage now for over 15 years, there are no tears in the upholstery but the dash does have some cracks. (Remember this car is now 31 yrs old and is sold as is with no warranty implied or expressed). I also understand that the white interior is rare as most were manufactured with the black interior. This is a darker blue exterior also and not the pale blue you see more of. There is only one small dent that I don't know how it got there (as it is very recent)but I think I can get someone from the body shop to pop it out. I'll do my best to have that done as it is very small and isn't a crease type dent. It is on the front quarter panel on the top edge, see photo. This has been in storage in my shop, covered, since I bought it last summer as my project for "getting a life" but I guess getting a life will have to be put on hold now until I get the medical and vet bills paid off.
I'm the 3d owner as the original owner gave it to his son-in-law and he drove it for a short time and then it went back into storage. It has not been driven in 6 years however, I've had it turn over for me but didn't start it as I wanted to flush all old fluids and replace them prior to starting it. I also have all the original documentation including the window sticker. I HAVE NOT STARTED THIS CAR BEYOND CHECKING IF THE STARTER WOULD TURN OVER AND IT DOES. IT SHOULD NOT BE STARTED UNTIL ALL OLD FLUIDS ARE PURGED AND NEW FLUIDS ARE PUT IN. THERE IS TOO MUCH POTENTIAL TO FOUL UP THE ENGINE IF THIS IS NOT DONE CORRECTLY.
There are a couple of nickel-size rust spots on the rear window deck but have not seen any other problems. I have an original rear window louver that will not accompany this car as I hope to someday get another one and these louvers are VERY hard to locate, but I know where there is one more if you want that also for an additional cost to be arranged.
NADA Guide shows low value at $3525.00, average at $6,075.00 and high at $9,500.00. I've set a fair reserve so happy bidding.
