1979 Dodge Arrow GS
For parts or restoration
A RARE FIND INDEED! TAKE 'er FOR A SPIN cuz she runs good!
I really wanted to do the bodywork on this baby, but my new business venture will not allow me the time. I just parked it because I bought a minivan for my new delivery service. I was using this car on weekends up to recently. (I am a courier by trade, so I was provided a truck.)
Things I have noticed:
- It has a serious exhause leak/muffler issues
- a headlight needs to be re-wired or fixed
- the starter motor sometimes does not engage.
- the left side of grill is broken...(NOTE to SELF: unplug car, then drive away)
...and as you can see by the photos:
... she is going to need some serious body work. A good restoration project. Some welding in floor, and a gallon or two of bodyfiller....*grin
I drove this down to ND from here about 4 times. It goes through a small amount of oil, but when starting up after being parked a long time, it does not blow any blue or black smoke. It runs fairly clean and smooth. I put $12.50 worth of gas (about 2.5 gals.) @ $1.20 /litre, (about $5.00 /gal.)and it would take me about 70 kilometers (50 miles) in town.
* 2.0 litre engine,
* 5-speed standard transmission
* Rear wheel drive
* 2DR. hatchback
* AM/FM Cassette (WOAH!!)
* PLUS the gold dice come with! That is right...at no extra cost you get the retro dice!
This was a sporty car in its day. Not sure what would safety this car but it has good glass, tranny, clutch, tires, brakes, shocks/joints, door handles, emergency brake. There are a few minor electrical issues that I know of.
If the price is not met, then it's off to the scrap yard.

Delivery or pick up is up to buyer.
I can drive it to the buyer if you pay travel costs.
If you live in USA, you will need to check the regulations on importing through US Customs.
