Vehicle Description I hate to see these go, but I am finally getting rid of my '66 coronet projects. The first, is an all original, numbers matching, 1966 coronet 500 convertible with a great color combo. Of the 1153 automatic cars built, matched with a 318, how many are left that are red with a black interior? This car is just in need of restoration. I really wish I could build this, but I recently lost my storage for the cars and can't justify letting them sit outside. The convertible coronet has a solid running motor that started a few weeks back, but the starter has since locked up. All of the interior accessories including the power top are functional. The carpet has been replaced, but is showing a little wear at spots. The seats are there, they simply need recovered. The dash has a crack in the top of it. Overall, the interior is complete and will take little work to finish. Also, I believe that the buildsheet is still in the car, but I have not looked. The body of the convertible is a little rough, but the donor car has everything that the body will need. The frame has a small hole on the front driver's side that will need a patch. The only piece of the body that isn't original is the passenger fender that was replaced before I bought it. The rag top is almost brand new. The trim is all there as far as I know. The engine bay is about as original as you'll find. From the factory hose clamps to the certicard. Even the fender tag is there. This is a car you won't have to cut out spliced wires and 40 years of other's poor restoration attempts. Start with an untouched car. The parts car is a southern 1966 coronet 440 with a blown motor in it. Almost all of the interior has been stripped out. This solid bodied car was on it's way to becoming a drag car, but the dream never panned out. Though the interior floor is rough, this car boasts a very solid trunk, great quarters, and excellent frame rails. It has good inner fenders and glass. This car also has a certicard that comes with it. All in all, this car has unlimited potential. It would make an excellent hemi clone or just a father - son project. Maybe even a restomod. Regardless of what it becomes, this car should receive the restoration that is deserves. I encourage you to come check these cars out and know what you are buying. I am a very honest person and expect you to be as well by honoring your bids. Please call me at 412-974-6789 with any questions or feel free to email me at justinbittner220@hotmail.com
