Up for bids is one SWEET 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 two door hardtop. This vehicle is an older restoration but is very well kept. Factory options inclued power steering and air conditioning. Every single piece for the air conditioning is present, everything! It is light blue with black interior and a NEW white vinyl top. The numbers matching running gear consist of a rebuilt 318, to stock specs with about 20,000 miles, rebuilt 904 automatic transmission, again to stock specs with about 10,000 miles, and an 8 1/4" rear end equipped with 2.73 gears. The manual drum brakes were rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago, and work flawlessly. All four Cooper Cobra tires mounted on classic Keystone wheels have tons of life left in them. There have been some suspension components replaced along the way as well. They consist of new front swaybar, front end bushings, rear leaf springs, replaced with R/T springs, front shocks, air shocks in the rear, and the power steering works effortlessly, one finger steering! Included with the sale if the buyer wants is a pair of R/T spec front torsion bars, not because the ones on it need replaced just because the owner thought they would work well with the R/T leaf springs. Also inclued are new KYB Gas-A-Just shocks for the rear to replace the air shocks the owner got tired of. Not only does this old Dodge drive good, it sounds good to boot. The entire exhaust system from manifolds back is new with 2 1/4" pipes with Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, finished off with Coronet R/T tips that shine nicely. Inside has had quite a bit of resto work done as well. Front and rear seats have been recovered very professionally and really look nice. The door panels are from a Charger, but the only way to tell is from the emblems above the arm rest. Carpet is nice with no rips. Black dash that is perfect besides one vent on top being busted, and rear package tray has been replaced. The radio hole has been cut for an aftermarket cassette, and wires have been run to the glovebox for an aftermarket CD. Inclued with the car is all new speakers and both the casette and CD radios. Originally this Coronet was a dark green color with light green vinyl top, you can't see traces of either anywhere! All the framerails are lazer straight with no rust and never have been replaced. Underhood, door jambs, trunk jambs, everything was repainted a light blue. The white vinyl top is perfect with no rips, stains, or bubbles underneath. Both front and rear bumpers were rechromed in 2005 and look awesome!
The only mechanical issue noted in this Coronet is a leaking oil drain plug, could maybe be fixed with oversize plug or oil pan may need replaced, have not tried to repair. Also the A/C had a leak so the belt was removed to keep freon from getting onto the restored engine bay. The drivers side window regulator needs replaced, the window will stay up but you can push it down with two hands. Even though the paint is sweet, it does have a few drawbacks. Behind the rear passenger tire is starting to bubble, the front corner of the windshiled is starting to bubble, and there are a few knicks and touch up spots in different places, see pictures. It is what I would call a 20 footer. The center caps on the wheels are pitted somewhat but still look nice on this old Mopar.
To make this a real show car and more than a great driver, it really could use a paint job. Pictures are shown below. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, and more pictures are available upon request. Good luck bidding!
