1968 Coronet R/T's-one of my favorite cars! I love the big badges on the fenders, the quarter panel trim, the nice interior...it's such a complete package. The grille looks like it's going to eat you and the 3D taillights and finish panel with another big R/T badge lets you know what just blew your doors off! While true R/T cars don't see the road frequently and require a second mortgage, this recreation has all of the goodies with none of the guilt!
Repainted RR1 Burgundy Metallic with a black vinyl top and a black bumblebee stripe the car screams badass! 15x7 Front chrome Magnum 500's with 235/60 and 15x9 rears with 295/50/15 Firestone Indy 500 radials shaved to redlines by Diamondback Tires complete the street fighter look. The trim and chrome is excellent and the paint shines brilliantly. New R/T emblems, new door handles, a new antenna, new locks, rechromed bumpers, highly polished and dent free window moldings, clean glass, restored fender turn signals, taillights and finish panel, the marker lights are new. AND,did I mention the paint is beautiful? New chrome road wheels holding new radial redlines and a white bumblebee stripe complete the exterior with style!

Now, it's pretty obvious someone built this car to their liking. The best part is that they made a car that could have very easily come from Dodge in '68-the right colors, the right options.Why not have a better looking car for it?
Well.it's not to say this sucker's stock in the engine room. That's a 440 in there, but it's nowhere near stock! Slap on a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads, fat aluminum roller rockers, a purple shaft .484 cam, ceramic coated headers, Mopar Performance cast aluminum valve covers and air cleaner, an MSD 6AL ignition box, and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and fat carb, just for starters! You're not likely to lose too many stoplight drags with this one! A three core radiator and a truck-spec trans cooler keep things under control while a reproduction group 27 "red top" battery supplies the spark. There's a 2800rpm stall converter in the built trans, so burnouts or short times at the track are expected and achieved. Reproduction decals keep the factory look alive, and the firewall accessories are well detailed. This is a stormer!
Throw this baby up on some tall jack stands,yep,those ARE three-bolt exhaust cutouts in the 2.5"pipes! If you'e driving along capped up you're still breathing through 40 series Flowmasters and chrome tips, so it's not like you're gonna go unnoticed! There's a set of 3.55's in the 8 and 3 quarter rear for the best combination of cruising and taking off. A new tank lines and rebuilt brake and suspension systems round out the undercarriage. A new spare (on a new wheel, no less!) keeps the correct jack and a new mat company in the trunk, and there's still space left over for two or three bodies.B body cars are the ultimate trip cars!
Climbing inside is a real treat. New upholstery on new foam means you'll be comfortable on long trips. It also gives you time to look around at all the other restored or new components in here--the door panels, armrests, armrest pads, door handles, window cranks, carpet, headliner, visors and the floor mats are in excellent shape, as is the impossible to find dash pad. A new headliner fits the roof while new carpeting and logo'd floor mats lie at your feet. The woodgrain sport wheel feels great in your hands, and $700 worth of console top plates makes the center console pop against the black interior..you'll field compliments all day long in here!
