1967 Dodge Dart GT 2 door Hard Top In October 2005, a friend told me about this California car located in Oregon. It had been off the road since 1997, but was in good shape. I purchased the car from a man in Oregon who specializes in Mopar muscle cars and trailered it to Ridge Route Collectable Cars In Frazier Park California. This west coast car was built at the Los Angeles factory. There the body work was done; including removing most of the chrome, filing the holes, fixing a rust area behind the right rear wheel, straightening and aligning body panels and doors. Also a large section of the trunk pan was replaced with a part from a similar Dart. The body was primered and I picked up the car. The body is very straight and all margin spaces are correct as to doors, hood , truck and fender panels. An inventory of all the parts in the car showed the majority are there. A short list of missing parts will be provided, generally minor parts. The car has one rusted area on the floorboard passenger side about 12x12 inches; there is no other rust on the body. The engine I have for the car is not original but a 383ci big block, Golden Commando with two four barrel carbs. The engine has less than 30K miles on it, and was purchased separately from the Mopar guy in Oregon. The transmission is a Tourqueflite 727. The rear end was changed out before I bought it and is a Chevrolet 10 Bolt. I am not sure of the ratio. The car has drum brakes, front and rear. The interior is black with bucket seats in fair condition needing reupholstery. The car has a heater, no air or radio. Glass is in good condition and all windows work manually. The chrome is good with bumpers and grill undented. This car needs to be fully assembled with the engine and tranny not in the car. You are buying a project car that doesn’t run but can be towed or trailered. This car is ready for you to make an excellent big block Mopar and when assembled and painted , should double in value. As with most projects I ran out of time and money and am now concentrating on a 69 rag top Dart with a 440. Good Luck in your bidding and thanks for your interest.
