Up for bids is my 2000 Dodge Intrepid. It is well equipped with power windows, power locks, cd, infinity sound system, 3.5L High Output engine, A/C, power drivers seat, power mirrors. The body is in good shape with average dings, scrapes, scratches for a 2000 year car. There are a few scrapes on the front bumper and a couple of dings on the right rear quarter that I tried to get in the picture. Tires are probably around 50% tread left. Interior is clean. This was my daily driver when I had to commute long distances to work.
This car started its life with a 2.7L engine. At 79,000 miles the engine went. If you are unfamiliar with 2.7 engines in the intrepid they are notorious for sludge. I had my mechanic drop in a 3.5L High Output engine using a conversion kit for an OEM fit. This is a common swap since the 3.5 engines have very few issues and are strong runners. Since then it has been extremely reliable. Recently it has started missing/hesitating between 1500-3500 rpm's. It idles fine but seems to hesitate once you reach those rpm's, after 3500 it runs strong. My mechanic swapped out the crankshaft position sensor as well as the camshaft sensor and it is still doing it. Since I no longer have the need or space for a third vehicle I am selling it for NO RESERVE in AS IS condition. Not sure what the problem is but I do not want to put any more money in my mechanic's pocket trying different sensors. The car is driveable, I would not hesitate to drive it a long distance. There is also a small exhaust leak, I rubbed over a speed bump and think I upset an exhaust clamp. The car has 129,506 miles but the engine has only 94,655 miles.
