2000 Dodge Intrepid
This is a standard 2000 Dodge Intrepid
This car was great until the engine went on it . It was a good driving car, rode good, plenty of room, I was pleased with it very much. It was a non-smoking vehicle, it even has little "Thank You For Not Smoking" stickers on the door windows. (which was an attraction for me as I purchased this vehicle as a reward to myself for quitting smoking (8+ years now, yeah for me!)
There were absolutely no problems with the vehicle until ........we were driving down the road and suddenly the oil light came on, and the light was only on for a matter of seconds, and the car simply quit running. I had it checked at a private garage and the at a Dodge dealership and was told at both places that the engine had locked up and would have to be replaced. I was and still am flabbergasted as to what happened to this vehicle, it simply just quit running. I now understand that there was an issue with the engines in these some of these model Intrepids.
This would be a great vehicle for the person that has access to fixing it without paying retail repair prices.
The Intrepid has been sitting in the back for over two years now and is dirty from sitting but the interior and body is in otherwise good shape. There are of course some scratches and dings, but nothing major. There was a new remote door opener installed in the vehicle. I am not aware of any other problems.
